I am really2 confused and the doctors in our area are pretty useless.
BACKGROUND:
April 16 to 19 - AF
April 27 - bedded with hubby
May 5 to 9 - another AF? not sure because I usually have a heavy flow on my first three days, but this one's only medium to light bleeding
May 12, 14 and 17 - bedded with hubby
May 23 to 28 - experienced dark brown (some almost black) discharge. I had to wear a pad during the first 3 days. But the discharge did not really fill up the pad.
May 27 to 28 - tested positive on HPT
On May 27, I went to the doctor because I got a positive result on the hpt and I was having strange looking discharge (some looks like old, dry blood while some has the consistency/texture of an EWCM only the color is dark brown instead of white, some discharge looks like a viscous snot -sorry tmi). The doctor told me that I'm probably 5-6 weeks pregnant based on the info I gave him and he had a sonographer do a transvaginal ultrasound on me. The sonographer told me that I don't look pregnant based on the scan. They cannot find any sign of pregnancy (not event a thickening of the endometrial lining). My endometrial stripe only has a thickness of 5.87mm. The sonographer told me that my endometrial stripe should look thick if I am pregnant.
The doctor told me that it's either I'm not as far along as he first thought or I had a miscarriage. But it seems he thinks that it's more possible that I had a miscarriage. My questions are is it not possible to get pregnant if my endometrial stripe only has 5.87 thickness? When exactly did I miscarry (I did not feel anything weird with my body). Is it possible that I had a miscarriage last May 5 to 9? my husband and I bedded last April 27, I find it unlikely that I'm already pregnant last May 5 to 9. The doctor told me that I'm testing positive due to remaining HCGs on my body. But somehow i can't believe I already miscarried. Is it possible that I had a miscarriage on May 23 t 28? Is there no chance at all that I'm still pregnant?
Please advise. I hope someone can tell me that this happened to them but they ended up having a good pregnancy. I really want this baby.
