positive opk @ 8dpo...HELP!!!

my progesterone and hcg were really good i dont remember what they were because i forgot to write them down when i called but the doctor said all my test looked really good last time i spotted was this morning when i got up nothing on my liner or undies the most spotting i had was on the 26th that was in the morning then again after my pap which i knew would happen then very little yesterday 2 time and very little this morning Im hoping im just doing like my sister did with her son every month till the 4th month she would have light spotting for 5 or 6 days like af but very light and not alot so maybe its a boy and he just wants to scare mommy and daddy

Fngrs...ha you're evil. I assume that there is a coupon in the box but I hadn't even looked yet. We're supposed to move Sept. 1st so I'm ready to get packing...just need to get some boxes. Did I mention that we may have a buyer for our place? The couple who came out Thurs night loved it and were going to try to get approval for the house...even want to pay extra for the appliances! I really hope they follow through. We need it sold and need the money.

No I didn't know about the potential buyers..yay! I hope they get it. And a little extra for the appliances? Whoot whoot! September is a good thing. It will give you time to get everything packed really good, so you won't have to do a rush job. Organized packing makes for organized moving and a very easy transition to a new house. When we started buying our house moving in here was so easy. I organized everything while packing. And when they (Dh and my male family) moved everything in I had them put the living room on the truck first and the bedrooms on last. The kitchen and bathroom stuff were in the middle. So if we ever decide to get a bigger place the Living room will go on the truck first again and so on.

Ok well I am glad that the progesterone and hcg were good. You guys' little baby is going to be a prankster. Hmm maybe it is a boy...or a little girl that wants to shake things up a bit. I recently read something about dancing closer to ovulation yields a girl. It was in an Australian clinical study. All of us ladies are familiar with the shuttles method and how dancing close to ovulation would most likely produce a boy..it is all so confusing when new information comes about. My DD was a dancing everyday baby. Matter of fact we danced from the time my AF went off to the day I got my positive and then some. Weren't "trying" to get pregnant but we weren't preventing it. We wanted another baby, just wasn't trying with any other detection methods. I think we were moreso just enjoying daily sex...lol back then we were dancing like...hmmm... like hot and bothered ---> lol I honestly didn't think I was preggers, didn't feel pregnant at all. Had sore boobs for her and sore nipples...that's all. My Dh told me that I was during a dancing session, didn't believe him so I tested and behold two lines!!! he said it "felt" different.

So maybe it might be another girl!!! I don't have to tell you that girls are fun! I have only one and wish we had another..my poor Dd wants a sister so bad. DS1 says that DS2 is enough, and that he doesn't need another brother. lol Like I can control that...I don't think he understands that it's 50/50 lol lol lol

It's nice to experience both sides of the fence. I must admit that having two boys around is crazy sometimes. When it was just DS1 everything usually went smooth. I added a girl to the mix, and it was a bit busy given she would pull all of his clothes out of the drawer right after they were freshly folded and laced there. Then came DS2 and he shook things up a bit more. Now that he is older it gets to be like a mad house at times in here. Just because he isn't even on the same page as DS1. But they get along most days. lol lol Os I cn't say I blame DD1 for not wanting the likes of a boy around! lol lol

i come from a big family 3 sisters 3 brothers so i know the joy of both only that scares me is if my son is anything like DH Ill have H*LL to pay DH is a big goof ball and jokes around all the time the 5 year old acts just like i tell dh she isnt mine she is his and my exs kids she looks like my ex and act just like her step dad so if alice takes after im going to have a 3rd goof ball on my hands HELP thank gosh he is every easy going layed back kind of guy he is for sure my better half im bad for being high stressed not as bad as i use to be lol

DH has always said he wants a brother and a sister, but if you make him pick, he'll choose a brother. I know he'll be a great big brother, but I honestly lean more towards wanting a little sister for him/us... especially now that I'm giving away all of DS' clothes!!!

I think you have another prankster. This pregnancy is getting off to a "jokes on mom" kinda' start. lol My DH pranks and I am Mrs. smart-mouth. Given you hand out with us on this thread you are probably nuts..So I am sure they are only going to make you more nuts than you already are. But not to worry, no amount of meds will make you better, you are going to be forever nuts! yay for being nuts!!!

Wouldn't that be something when you get your bfp, and then you find out you are having another boy?! That would make me rethink giving them away. But then there is always the fun of going baby shopping again to make it all better. RETAIL THERAPY is the best! I can't wait until you test L.E. I am excited about it. I have a good feeling that the dust hasn't settled and we will have some positives going this cycle.

It's probably wrong to think this way, but I feel like I almost "deserve" to go shopping for a new baby when we have one! I just think it would be fun to buy the baby items again... not good for our checkbook, but the thought of re-buying doesn't bother me as much as it used to. He/she would be spoiled rotten by family just like DS has been, so we wouldn't have to buy much anyway!

L.E. I just saw it after you mentioned it. We were posting at the same time. Well who knows what tomorrow will bring on an hpt for you. I shouldn't have even asked you about testing, I feel guilty now. I hope tomorrow yields another high temp for you too and a positive test.

I think you deserve to go shopping for new clothes too. You have been through so much with TTC. The fun of it all...And there are so many things that they didn't have when your DS was born. I saw how much things had changed last year when I would go shopping. All the neat, nifty, and time saving ideas. I was amazed at the new things. There is a little zipper pouch that is just for a pacifier, that made me stand there and say, "really, they didn't have this when I had babies." And the pack and play with the changing table, and diaper station on it. Glass bottles are making a come back, I have those. I remember my mom using those for my little brother. And from what I know, she used those for us, and my grandmother used them for her children. I also saw the silicone glass bottle covers that stops them from getting shipped or cracked. I of course made my own. I am a whiz with a sewing machine!!! I used Winnie the pooh fabric, I love the pooh bear honey bee so much. And Winnie the pooh was my theme. The stripes with cupcake ribbon was just me trying out some fabric pieces I had laying around (it's not insulated like Winnie the pooh). I used a thick batting to insulate it, but would like to insulate it even more.

Finally tested at 10 p.m. and my test is...

That was about a 36 hour surge. My test was lighter at 5 this evening. the Wondfo was lighter than the digi. Don't know if I posted it or not. But it was still positive, digi confirmed it. So this last test at 10 (an even lighter) was after a 4 hour hold. So that would make it a 36 hour surge. Sounds and feels weird saying it...I was feeling hot for a couple hours and a bit uncomfortable, didn't thing anything of it. But after it got worse...and I mean the back of my knees started sweating and my back, above my lip and on my chin....I got up an tested. that's some horrible type sweating when it's behind your knees!!! Ewww...shower in my near future. Feels like I did some low impact aerobics...


So now that it's negative, I know that it's progesterone trying to kick in. Now hopefully I get a nice temp spike and I won't have to eat those words with a dreaded 96.88 temp in the morning. I would hate to hav Dh hiding again this cycle from me. I swear if I get a low temp tomorrow I am not going to dance. He won't want to make love in the luteal phase if I dance him to death.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, I THOUGHT THAT TEST WAS NEVER GOING TO GO NEGATIVE!! Isn't it amazing how we rush a positive opk, and after a day or so we are ready for it go away?!?!

Ha yea we're so demanding of those opks! Glad your surge is over though and you can relax a little... Well I mean DH can relax hehe. Those covers look great! I loooove Winnie The Pooh! That was DS's theme too, but I did Classic Pooh, the older version. I've kept the bedding. I'm letting go of clothes but I'm keeping the bedding, mobile, crib, and changing table. I'm not rebuking those! Oh and I have my Pooh stroller/cars eat combo that I'm keeping. I know a lot has changed. This time if we get preggers again, I may try to have less stuff. There was a lot we never used. I nursed and wasn't very good at pumping, so we really didn't use bottles, or the bottle warmers, or drop-ins so I just sold those finally. Unless I have supply issues with the next one, I won't even buy bottles. I think the glass ones are neat though, and probably better for the babies. I hope you get that forever baby soon so you can use all those lovely bottles and covers!

Don't feel bad about asking about my tests. If my temp is up tomorrow, I'll probably buy more tests. I have the coupon in my purse just in case lol.
