positive opk @ 8dpo...HELP!!!

Yay for good news, Stacey and Fngrs!! So happy for you ladies! Stacey, I hope next week you get to see a little heart beat. That would be awesome! And in less than 2 weeks Fngrs could have a bfp. :happy dance:

Well my mom is the devil :muaha: and asked me if I wanted anything from Walmart or wanted to go. So I went and of course picked up FRERs. Their deal is as good as Target now... $8.98 for a 2 pack with 1 free, so I HAD to buy a pack. :dohh: BFN of course. :bfn: This is never any fun. Blah. :hissy:

Fngrs, Have you ever used Tea Tree oil? My mom keeps getting boils and I try to get her to use it on them but she hasn't yet. I've used it for a couple different things, including getting rid of a couple skin tags. Mom's cat had a sore that we put the oil on and I think it helped. You just definitely don't want to get it in your eyes or mouth.

Do you ladies warm your thermometers before using them? I always just take it right off the night stand and temp with it. I imagine if temping vaginally you'd want to warm it up to avoid the shock lol. Our bedroom is usually in the low 70s according to the thermostat. I know it won't make a difference in my chart and seeing a shift, but I'd assume it makes my temp lower. Input, ladies?

i try to make sure i have it in the cover so it doesnt get cold i never warm it

L.E. BFn sucks...I hope you get a positive soon. we have both got to put that baby dust to good use. I don't warm my thermometer. My room is pretty cold but I don't feel the cold of it when I temp. That metal tip is so small on mine that there isn't even any time to get a chill. Not to mention down there is so warm  I have never heard of warming the thermometer, I always figured where ever I am temping should get it pretty toasty.
I have heard of Tea Tree Oil also. But what we hoped it was...was not the case. We spent all night in the E.R. They rushed us back quickly. We were alarmed when the triage nurse said, let me talk to the Dr. and see what he wants to do. Then left and was back in less than a minute. They drew blood, did a chest x-ray and took us straight back. Then the did a CT-Scan and shot him up with dye. His Lymph Nodes were the issue, he has a low grade fever also. So they gave him Antibiotics through and IV and some for home. They also said follow up with his pediatrician, because there are more tests that NEED to be performed that they can't do in the E.R. They were doing, I guess, part of what needs to be done to look for Lymphoma (Cancer). They danced around it for the longest, but I am pretty medically educated and made them say "We are trying to rule out Lymphoma". I threw it out there and the Dr. took the bait. Most don't want to say to much if they aren't the regular Dr. So I HAVE to follow up at least early next week so I can relax. The whole there is an infection "somewhere" in his body, but, we don't know where, thing didn't work for me. And they stressed that he needed more tests run on him. So that gave me no closure either. They said he is small for his age. I wasn't concerned with his weight because he is just a small framed boy like I am a small frame lady. He eats to no end, he isn't starving, he just has a small frame. SO I guess we will see what transpires. So NOPE not a boil, a bunch of really swollen Lymph Nodes and a trip to the metal ward in my future. :/

Well ladies, because we got home at 2:40 and I fell asleep at 3:30 I can't really trust that temp this morning. 97.52 It's a luteal phase temp, but I just got a smiley last night. So I may discard it depending on the way things go. I am thinking that I am at the Peak of my LH surge. Got another smiley and positive opk the morning. It might go negative tonight or tomorrow morning.

I must admit that I am EXHAUSTED. I can see a nap in my near future. I also don't like the look of that homely little Wondfo. A lot of them had nicks in them. That is a disappointment in itself. Not just one or two but a lot of them. This one was bent back a little. Both the control line and test line are shape funny too. but it's obvious it's positive. Not so much blazing like the digi...is it me or does the test line on the wondfo just look equal? When I look again, the digi has that same shape like the Wondfo on both lines. Must just be the hormones making them look that way. What ever the case, I hope I have the stamina to to BD when Dh decides to wake up. I may have to wake him on my own. Before DS2 wakes up. The other 2 lone rangers are at my mom's. She picked them up from the hospital.

Omg this has to be so scary :( ill be praying for him and you family.

Wow Fngrs! Glad you got it checked out. I hope all comes back well when you get the tests done... scary for sure! My DS had a mole that his pediatrician didn't like. She sent us to the dermatologist and he didn't like it either. He said it wasn't cancerous yet, but that he would like to remove it to avoid the possibility in the future, so he had a surgery to remove it last year. If he was bigger, they would have just numbed it and done it at the docs office, but 4 yr olds are too wiggly to chance it... so he had to be put out for it. So nothing major, but when it's your baby, it's all major.

For me I got another low temp. These are what I would consider pre-O temps, so either I have some serious progesterone issues or I haven't O'd. Only 3 of my 11 temps were higher than my pre-O temps, so I'm saying it was a fluke. Dunno. I guess we'll see if my period comes in 2 or 3 days. In the meantime I'll keep using opks.

Oh yea and Fngrs, your digi does look more positive than your Wondfo... weird. Of course when I O'd I was only comparing Wondfo to Dollar tree ones, and the Wondfos were darker. LOL That makes me feel even worse about my light lines on the digis!

Fngrs i really hope it isnt anything that bad and the opk looks pos to me but the lines do look a litttle off

Fngrs... I found something that reminded me of you!!! Can't say I don't do it myself, but I thought you'd get a kick out of it. :)

I'm bored, so here is my opk and hpt- both very negative. I think the opk is a little darker than it has been, if you can believe that. Nothing to get excited over, that's for sure!

Thank you momma...yes this is scary. But I think everything is going to be ok. I will just feel better once he sees his pediatrician. So I will be making a call today. Hopefully they can get us in really soon.

Thanks L.E. this thing is the size of half of a golf ball. It was so much smaller dy before yesterday. Then yesterday he doesn't tell me a thing about it hurting, so I was just waiting to call the Dr. about it. When Dh gets home he shows him and tells him it's hurting. He then shows me and I was just too through. It was WAY bigger then when I saw it the day before. I really was prying that it was a boil and nothing more. I did ask myself how in heaven did he get a boil? He doesn't and never has been in daycare to come in contact with staff; he doesn't have any underarm hair for a pore to be clogged...I went through every scenario that i could and chalked it up to him playing with the neighbors dog. :/ Not the case. So the Dr. will let is know where we will go from here. Your DS was a big boy to go through that, it's so amazing how little ones are as strong as adults.

Is there any way one of those wondfo's could have looked like one of mine? It's just those 6 temps are so low and look like ovulation. But I will agree that your other temps do match your pre-o temps. Maybe it is just a progesterone issue. I guess all that really matters is that they stay above the cover line.I hope they shoot up tomorrow. believe it or not, I have seen some charts on FF where the temps lingered along the cover line and shot up and ended in bfp. I should take a look and search some out.

As for the Wondfo's I maybe would try them again. And I mean a strong MAYBE. Now that I know what my positive looks like on them I could see me trying them again if I would be guaranteed they would have nick's in them. I just know only complete desperation would make me use a Dollar store opk again. Those haven't been good for me for a long time now. So if you didn't ovulate, I hope you get a blazing positive. Have you ever heard of a weak LH surge before? Maybe your surge wasn't as strong but you could have ovulated?

Fngrs... I found something that reminded me of you!!! Can't say I don't do it myself, but I thought you'd get a kick out of it. :)

   That is so totally me!!!!! That made me laugh really hard!!! Because I couldn't have been described any better than that! I so saved that pic to use on my desktop as a background!!! Dh has started talking to himself lately. I guess because I have been forgetting he is in the room and I really babble on and on. I have rubbed off on him!!!

Dh is going to kill me for this but I will post it for a while and take it down (maybe). I have issues and entertain myself. So does my DH...

It's my doggy and my Dh he was riding my dog on his knee. He does this all the time to my dog. Never to our other dog (who is a moron) she is too antsy and moves a lot.

Too funny, Fngrs! Made me giggle for sure! Cute doggie. :).

I hope Ds' thing turns out to be something little. Yes it's crazy how brave these kids can be. My DS even decided that he didn't want/need me to walk back to the operating room. Made me a little sad but really proud!!

I haven't used Wondfos in several weeks, so I don't know what they would have looked like. I don't know what to think at this point. Even if I take out all those low temps that week, FF still gives me dotted cross-hairs but for a few days later. I even kept all days as "w".

So it looks like no matter what you do you are going to get crosshairs. So I think you may just have ovulated. The next fews days will be confirmation. Hopefully confirmation with a bfp. I know you don't want to use that progesterone cream, because you aren't sure about ovulation. I don't think I would use it either. I didn't last cycle, because I wanted to be sure of my ovulation day and my luteal phase. It's hard to know your true luteal phase when you are taking progesterone for 12 days, which actually adds 2 more days to it, because it makes you period late. And not to mention you have to wait for 3 over 6 before starting it. So it can make your luteal phase 17 days long...:nope: not going for that one. I just figured I would start it if I get a + hpt. I would take for the first 3 days this cycle if my temps didn't take off and skyrocket on it's own.

Well in Jan and in Feb too (Chemical), I started spotting at 12 or 13 dpo (not positive which day since I was going by opks and cm only and not temping). But both times that day was marked on my calendar as 12/13 dpo.... so if I O'd and AF is coming, I expect her to send Spotty along tomorrow or Sunday. I think I could take that better than no O.
