L.E. BFn sucks...I hope you get a positive soon. we have both got to put that baby dust to good use. I don't warm my thermometer. My room is pretty cold but I don't feel the cold of it when I temp. That metal tip is so small on mine that there isn't even any time to get a chill. Not to mention down there is so warm

I have never heard of warming the thermometer, I always figured where ever I am temping should get it pretty toasty.

I have heard of Tea Tree Oil also. But what we hoped it was...was not the case. We spent all night in the E.R. They rushed us back quickly. We were alarmed when the triage nurse said, let me talk to the Dr. and see what he wants to do. Then left and was back in less than a minute. They drew blood, did a chest x-ray and took us straight back. Then the did a CT-Scan and shot him up with dye. His Lymph Nodes were the issue, he has a low grade fever also. So they gave him Antibiotics through and IV and some for home. They also said follow up with his pediatrician, because there are more tests that NEED to be performed that they can't do in the E.R. They were doing, I guess, part of what needs to be done to look for Lymphoma (Cancer).

They danced around it for the longest, but I am pretty medically educated and made them say "We are trying to rule out Lymphoma". I threw it out there and the Dr. took the bait. Most don't want to say to much if they aren't the regular Dr. So I HAVE to follow up at least early next week so I can relax. The whole there is an infection "somewhere" in his body, but, we don't know where, thing didn't work for me. And they stressed that he needed more tests run on him. So that gave me no closure either. They said he is small for his age. I wasn't concerned with his weight because he is just a small framed boy like I am a small frame lady. He eats to no end, he isn't starving, he just has a small frame. SO I guess we will see what transpires. So NOPE not a boil, a bunch of really swollen Lymph Nodes and a trip to the metal ward in my
future. :/
