positive opk @ 8dpo...HELP!!!

Ok well I thought I would start with the OPK pics lol.... So here are today's from about an hour ago taken at about 10 mins... Definitely negative, but decent. Remember that my wondfo's are super-dark when they're positive, so I can't get too excited about "decent" lines.

My mid-cycle ultrasound is in 2 days. I'm hoping I have some follicles growing. If not, I'll be heartbroken.

is the test line on the left? I don't know what you are going through, what are follicles? Let me know and I will pray pray pray my heart out for you!! (sorry if i sound daft, Im not familiar with a lot of these things).

Thanks, Praying. Yes the test line is on the left and is currently lighter than the control line. Back in January I caught my surge on the Wondfos (same brand of OPK I'm using now). Some people can have positives where the test line is the same (but not darker) than the control, but I know from experience I have to have a strong surge to ovulate... which has only happened 2x that I know of since having DS 6 yrs ago. I hope I'm right here, but from what I gather, the follicles are what 'grow' the eggs. Usually only 1 develops into the mature egg that is released, but obviously we can make and release more than 1 egg, though it isn't as common. So I think what I want to see on the ultrasound is an egg/follicle growing or one that is ready to release/ovulate. I haven't done a Clomid or monitored cycle before so this is new for me too. I'll keep you ladies updated with OPKs and will definitely let you know what happens at the ultrasound.

Stacey, Thanks. I hope I do O soon. It seems like a lot of ladies O closer to CD17. I'm just really hoping and praying I at least O, but you know I really really really want that BFP with a sticky bean. I've learned to be very specific in my prayers, so I always pray that I ovulate, we conceive, and that he/she is a healthy, happy, sticky, forever baby.
How have you been feeling? Are you stocking up on all things Blue??

Im ok just tired as heck this baby boy takes it all out of me oh you know it he has a nice start to his clothes already im putting off getting his crib and dresser till after the holidays and I found a cars crib set I want dh loves the movie now im trying to sell some of alice's stuff I was holding onto and dh needs to make up his mind about the middle name first name is nicholas after daddy but not sure if we are going adam or abel yet and he is moving all over the place I love it still in shock that im having a boy

Aww sounds like it's moving along well. It's fantastic once they start moving around... you no longer have to wait weeks to see if there is a heartbeat because you can feel them move and know they're still there. I didn't realize they made a crib set for Cars... neat. And it will easily move to a toddler bed theme if you want.

I like both middle names with his first name. DS has the same middle name as DH (but not the same first name). If we ever have a DD, DH thinks she should have my middle name, but I want to use my grandma's middle name.

AFM, im on cd24 today and day 3 on the BCP. I must say I feel pretty darn good. I even did a 1.5 mile jog just now It felt pretty good to work out. I am starting back on the exercising just so if weight gain does happen..my body wont have a problem going back to my pre-BCP figure The only thing that happens with the BCP is that I get sharp pains in my ovaries that lasts around 30 mins-1 hour and then goes away but comes on and off throughout the day. I guess that means its doing what its suppose to do 8 more days left before i see DH Im super excited now!!

well now all i have to do is pack the headphones, dh's vests and t-shirts, my toothbrush, and undergarments and I will finally be done packing yay me!!!! Im happy now because now I dont have to worry about it. I know my shoes will go in at the last minute and I have to go buy leggings for the 7 dresses my SIL bought me for when I go out of town so im happy now. Ohhhh and Im hoping dh buys me boots while we are up there

L.E. no this isnt the big move. This is actually just a thanksgiving/graduation trip im taking and then once all the paperwork is completed and processed...then the big move will happen. Hoping its sooner rather than later though. I am sooo ready to move.
