positive opk @ 8dpo...HELP!!!

Wow, MzSwizz!! Sorry to hear about the clotting issue, but so glad this new doc discovered it!! Definitely a heartache-saver.

Well, I did go ahead and get some more Dollar Tree OPKs. They're a lot less frustration than the Wondfos I think. My Wondfo earlier today was close to a "equally dark" positive, but the Dollar Tree I just took tells the real story. So I think I just need to stay away from Wondfos. I don't plan on ordering any more of them.

So here is a pic of the evil  Wondfo earlier, and then the Dollar Tree from a few mins ago...:juggle: I bet a lot of ladies would've counted that Wondfo as their positive, especially if they haven't used that brand before.

Wow the dollar tree and wondfo are two different results. Stupid wondfos. Maybe they are too sensitive

i have an appt scheduled for dec. 5th @ 9am for the hematologist yay :happydance:

You're really fortunate to get your appts scheduled right away! Glad it's progressing quickly! :)

thanks l.e. i could've had an appt on the 26th of this month but i will be out of town until dec. 3rd so i had to ask for any day after the 3rd

How's everyone today?

AFM, im cd31 today and tomorrow is my last day here before im on a plane to go see my DH :happydance::happydance: Super excited. The time has finally come cant wait. And there will be loads of photos :haha: Today, im going to call the ob/gyn office to schedule an appt in December for my pap smear and ultrasound. I want to knock everything out the way at once. And I have my bloodwork so I can also give that to her to update her about the newfound information that I have received  Im happy because now everything is getting in motion for a rainbow baby. Before (as you all experienced with me) I was going back and forth to the doctors and ended up with no information and nothing getting done. But now, ever since the FIRST day of my appt, I have been finding out things AND getting diagnosed  Seems like it just goes to show that when a doctor cares about the patient..things will get done. And DH is happy that we are getting everything out the way also. Its a good thing Im on the BCPs because atleast now while we wait, I can get everything fixed and dont have to worry about not getting certain meds etc because I think its a possibility I am pregnant. And I rather have my body in great condition for baby or babies instead or trying on my own because im impatient and end up going through the heartache of another m/c. So I'm taking it slow. And I wonder once my ob/gyn sees the whole platelet issue that she might tell me i can get off BCPs sooner because they just thought that it would be the PCOS and my irregular cycles stopping me from conceiving  We shall see. And omg 5 months and 1 week before I start ttc already?! With the doc appts and vacationing to see DH and everything...I think i will be back to TTC in no time.

Well a little to update: Just thought about it and if i conceive in May after i finish the BCPs in April...then we will have a February baby which is the same month of our dating anniversary which is Feb. 18th :cloud9: Also on our anniversary, I have a follow up appt with my primary care doc. So these are my appts so far:

hematologist-dec. 5th @ 9am
ob/gyn-dec. 6th @ 9:30am :happydance:
primary care doc-feb. 18th @ 9:30am

Im happy that im able to get the ob/gyn the day after i see the hematologist. And stuff is really moving rather quickly so it seems like its going to be back to back doc appts!!! :happydance:

Those appt really ARE moving along. And yes, a good doc makes a world of difference. I like my OBGYN, but I wish her staff was as good all the time. I agree that your break could be good since you'll be starting new meds, and you really want the clotting issue under control before getting pregnant.

Well I hope my temps mean my body is preparing to O... we'll see. My temps have definitely lowered. I just can't tell (of course) if my temp is lowering because I'm going to try to O, or if my body is just going back to "normal" and the clomid's effects have worn off. I'm going to assume it's the first one, for some sense of hope. :hi:

L.E. yes i want to get the platelets back in normal range and everything else normal before I get pregnant. And from looking at your chart..im pretty sure your body is preparing for ov. And with your temps being so low...seems like this is going to be a good ov

Msswizz that is all great news im so happy that this doctor is workinh out so great yayyy

Le I think your body is trying to o but I have a feeling a 100mg will work better for you but then again wth do I know

As for me nothing new really finally got alice's room all set up and last night was her first night in there oh what fun that was we went around and around till 4am then I won she went to sleep and stayed in her own bed in her own room and slept till 9am she now has 5 teeth with number 6 trying to come thanks to last night I now know this little loves to in the hours of 2am till 4am who ready for thanksgiving I cant wait to cook

stacey-sounds like she is enjoying it and im ready for thanksgiving. my parents are going to cook dh and I a meal so i can take it to him and we can have real thanksgiving dinner.

Stacey, sounds like a fun night lol. We tried putting DS in his own crib in his own room a couple times. He didn't like it. I didn't like it... and we still co-sleep. I guess it's just our nature. Plus I think it's different when you just have 1 LO. I was thinking Alice is 5 or 6 months, then I looked at your spoiler and saw she's 8 months already! I guess that makes sense since you already had your gender scan so you're past 5 months pregnant. :dohh:

It seems like Thanksgiving got here so fast. We're having the dinner at our house, and I have no desire to do anything. I am about to get my rear off of here and get some cleaning done... Well after I do an OPK... lol... **edit... OPK is not impressive. Just thought I would let you know. Still waiting on my surge. :growlmad:

she likes playing in the room not sleeping lol awww that is sweet my mom hasnt made thanksgiving dinner in 7 years now she just comes to my place eats and leaves lmao here is my little alice now they grow to fast

Awww she's such a cutie!! :flower: Definitely growing fast.

i co-slept with my oldest till she was 3 years old i love co-sleeping but with a new baby coming we think its time she gets use to being in her ownbed we cant co-sleep with 2 babies our bed is not that big we are almost out of room with alice in the bed with us and she can still sleep with us from time to time before he comes daddy wasnt sure about co-sleeping at first but when she came he liked it having her right there then when he came home yesterday and saw i set her room up he likes im not so sure about this im going to miss waking up to her next to me lol

I still cant believe im 22 weeks pregnant and having a boy it hasnt hit me all the way yet

<Dun Dun Dun> And the plot thickens. So the past couple Dollar Tree tests were the smaller ones that require 5 drops... The one I just took is bigger and takes 4. This is actually the version I used back in December when I first ovulated, so I trust them. So either my LH increased a lot in the last 2.5 hrs, or maybe the 5 drop opks aren't as sensitive. I don't know what to think. I already planned on going to the store tonight for Thanksgiving stuff, so I guess I'll swing by the Dollar Store and hunt for mostly 4 drop tests and one or two of the 5 drop ones to compare. My test I just took looks like the one the day before the start of my positive in December. So more waiting. Here are my opks from Dec, the one from about 2 pm, and the one from about 4:30 pm....

Soooo of course I make the trip to the Dollar Store, buy 5 of the "4 drop" packs, and they're the same as all the other ones I bought. Grrrr. I guess I was just lucky to get that 1 magical opk... either that or cursed because it's driving me crazy!! This one is light like the others. CM is still creamy, so I wouldn't be expecting to O just yet anyway, but still! :dohh:

Yes, i've noticed dollar tree changed their opks too. I remembered getting the blue opks and women kept telling me i was taking the hpt and i had to take a pic just to prove it was an opk :growlmad:

For my sanity's sake tomorrow or Thursday, I may go buy First Response or Clear Blue digital OPKs and see what they say. That's a maybe. I figure though, that when I'm really surging, these Dollar Tree opks will show that, but maybe just as "same" darkness vs super-dark. What do you think, ladies?
