positive opk @ 8dpo...HELP!!!

I got sidetracked and didn't answer your other question, Fngrs... The last dark ones I had were on the 12th. They were not positive for me, but they were pretty dark. I think they're on pg 59.

Question: Should I hold off calling the doctor for a couple days to see what my temps do or should I just go ahead and see if I can start Provera? I mean if by a miracle I O'd on the 12th or 13th, wouldn't my progesterone be up enough to stop the spotting? I haven't had any on the TP today so I just checked my cvx and there is some red blood in my cm... so it hasn't stopped.

Obviously I'd rather my body does all this on it's own but it's not doing something right if i"m having prolonged spotting. Also, it wouldn't matter very much to me about the Provera vs waiting if we hadn't BD on the 12th. There were 8 days without BD before that (poor DH) because of the spotting. Blood of any sort puts me out of the mood for BD. Here was the weird thing... on the 13th, I felt really wet all day. I thought for sure I was AF bleeding several times and had to go to the bathroom to check. I blamed DH because I figured there was some sort of abundant leftovers since he had to wait so long for BD lol.

Aww zombie. Hoping we all will be bump buddies soon.

Fngrs-im going to go to the doctor so he can prescribe it for me. Its the easier route because atleast i dont have to worry if it will work of not. Also the bear was like the size of king kong lol. Hmm i wonder if that means im going to get the new job. Or maybe a LO!

Well dh and i decided that i am going to the doctor when i get paid which is friday and talk to him and tell him i want progesterone cream. Im happy that dh sees the seriously. And we both researched progesterone issues together and found the symptoms and how they describe it is exactly what i experience each cycle. So now we know whats going on. Im glad we both are working together and we want results now. Now its not just me for once.

Thats what your dream meant...about the bear (king Kong size) going toward your DH...It meant that he is going to get on the train full force about this TTC and seeing what's going on so you guys can get your bfp. So yes it could mean LO in the near future. You are already in touch with your cycle and all the other things life has going on right now. The phone call to him was to let him know the "bear" was coming even though being that big it couldn't be missed you were opening up his awareness about it. I took a nap today and dreamed of twins, a boy and a girl...I gave her the prettiest name..lets see if I can remember...I can't I just remember the middle name DH woke me up so I didn't retain the first name...it's _______ Cyna Perez (pronounced Sinna). Yep, my last name is Perez, DH is from Puerto Rico. My SPICY arroz con gandules!!!

I sure hope you guys got to dance on those days...It looks like you had a .32 shift at least. I would call tomorrow morning. At least the scrpit will be at the pharmacy waiting if you need it. And if you temps keep going up that means those were "Dollar tree positive"...and you may get your bfp! But I would call him anyway, so if he asks you to go in you can talk to him about what's been going on.

 yes your poor DH...8 days a long time in "man days" supposedly a few days equals "man months" where dancing is concerned. It may not have been him alone causing the wetness, it could have also been fertile cm :happydance: Anyhow, leftovers is a good thing too, that means it's staying up there lingering to fertilize an egg!!! yayyy!! I think our bodies are like actual Cats...cats do what they want to when they want to...:dohh: But even a cat can be tamed!!! (cracking whip) I was thinking that maybe you and Dh out to do a sneak BD'ing everytime you opk is dark!!! That might turn out to be a very good thing. Hopefully he will hold up longer with dancing than my DH...who is still staying away from me... I don't know why  we didn't dance THAT much...did we? My thoughts tell me that I am not Preggo this cycle...I just don't think I am. ohhh well if I'm not...

I am so not correcting my typos... my fingers have their own brain I promise...

So far, the amount of BDing isn't what is affecting us, it's the ovulating. With our son, we were NTNP and actually dtd less than we do now. It took 2 years but I did come off the pill after being on it for 7 yrs (due to my bleeding) and I didn't ovulate regularly, if at all. I used Provera every month for a few months, and the 2nd time I ovulated on my own (after I completely stopped the Provera) was when we made him.

This time we conceived my 2nd month ovulating, but that was the chemical. So I think his swimmers are fine and my insides are fine, it's just the ovulating part. If I start Clomid, though, I plan on getting a lot of BDing in! I really think my chances would be good. I have no plans on wasting my chances with Clomid. :)

Your poor DH is avoiding you. Too funny! We're honestly not too big on BD just to BD without being in the mood and all that. Now if I've definitely had my surge, we just made the extra effort. Otherwise, we mostly just dtd when we feel like it, but I do try to keep our chances there most of the time.

Dancing while in the mood makes conception even more likely, guess those hormones know what they are doing after all...lol The Provera and clomid are a good idea. With the clomid, you may even get those twins :happydance: That would be too awesome for words. I have a headache, right now, started earlier this afternoon ever so slight, now it's a real headache in effect. I am glad I have one though, may be a good sign this go round. At least it's not a migraine, I used to take relpax for migraines, but stopped before having Mirena removed. so now i stick with the Tylenol. However I don't want to give myself a bad reading on my thermometer in the morning so I am going to take Benedryl instead and sleep through the headache if I can. I am as sleepy as a sloth!! But staying up until it gets a little late...Want to sleep through DH getting ready for work in the morning...I will have the house to myself tomorrow..Just me and my 2 doggies...:happydance:

Sorry you have a headache, but hopefully that's a good sign for you. How old are your kids? I take it their spring break is over?

I think someone I know conceived twins on Clomid. That would be great! I didn't know you were on Mirena. Were you TTA for awhile?

Tyler--> :ninja: is 14 (well mannered, shy, smart, quirky, and creative)
Hailey---> :xmas10: is 9 (10 next month, well mannered, outgoing, talkative, intelligent, and GIRLIE!)
:bike: <---- Bradyn is 5 (6 in July, a rebel, smart, independent, sensitive, and artsy) Then there was :baby: <--- Masyn Josiah (would be 5 months, a prankster, unpredictable, and funny) DH is 35---> :loo: <---I am 33 (34 in July)

Yea kids already had their spring break...They had state testing last weeky and are testing now for 3 more days (poor babies!!) I had my Mirena taken out March 14, 2011, I got if after Bradyn, so it was almost time to have it removed. I kept it 4 years and 7 months, DH and I decided that I would have removed by spring or summer last year, so we could start TTC. I loved having it. I have read the stories of women who had issues or who didn't like it and had it removed after having it less than a year. I never had an issue with it. Matter of fact I never even stopped getting my periods with it. Some women do, I never missed a month of AF on Mirena. My cycles were regular also. Wouldn't be surprised if I was still ovulating while on it. It irritates the uterine lining to hinder implantation. I found that out years after getting it. Felt guilty about getting it then. the thought of conceiving and the baby not being able to implant was awful. I mainly got it not to have to remember to take a pill and I wanted AF to disappear for a few years. Not likely...lol It's a progestin based BC, so no wonder I still lost the baby last cycle, I still had a period on Mirena so that says it all...:dohh: I guess i have a progesterone immunity hunh? chart still looking like it's looking. What do you think?

Can't wait to see your temp for this morning.

At first I thought you only had one, but you have 3! Your DS and my DS are pretty close age-wise and so are our wedding dates. :) Your children sound like great kids! Is your DS in kindergarten? Mine's a Nov. baby so he wouldn't normally start kindergarten til this fall, but since I'm homeschooling him, we started this year.

Your chart looks good. Mine is nuts already. :( Those can't be good temps. :/ I think I'm giving it a couple more days til I call for the script. Hopefully I don't keep pushing it back. I'd like to see what my temps do and maybe get a cover line before I throw it off with Provera. If my spotting picks up I may say forget it anyway, but it wasn't there this morning, so who knows.

I even braved weighing in today. I knew I wasn't going to like what I saw, and I didn't, but I had prepared for worse, so it softened the blow. Now to fix it and get back to at least what I was before (which is still very heavy). If I go guns blazing, I might be able to do it in a month, then work on losing more over the summer too.

If my Wed. temp is still low, that's when I plan on calling about Provera, the SA, and Clomid. :)

Okay... another question lol... Since my BBT is low, do you think it would be worth making an appointment with my regular doctor to see about upping my dose of Levothyroxine? I've been at the same dose for years (hypothyroid). My obgyn checked my levels and they were within the normal range (I even checked them to be sure they're acceptable for fertility). I do always feel tired, but I figured it was just how I am. I don't know if my regular doctor would even accept the BBT if my labs are normal. Any thoughts?

Yep, 3 children!!! Yea Bradyn in in Kindergarten. Although he is so tiny he looks like he should be in Pre-K...When he ws in Pre-K he was the smallest in his class, I think he is the smallest now. Oldest DS is taller than I am he is about 5ft 6 or 7, wear a size 9 shoe!! Like basketball a lot! Our anniversary is Nov. 15th..I think homeschooling is a good thing, especially when they have late birthdays. I don't see the point in making them wait a whole year when they have a birthday shortly after the school year starts. Although we do have Pre-K here in Lousiana and they take them a t 4, 3 if their birthday is between August 1st and September 24th.

Well it's back down to Pre-O so you may want to Dance tonight if you guys can. Don't get discouraged about your temp, mine are sometimes erratic too. I have experienced every kind of chart their is except Annov, and lets thank God for that one. I have had a slow rise, a fallback rise, and an Ambiguous chart also. here is my January chart...look at all of that action going on...The after ovulation it goes zig-zag when it's rising which makes it look like I could have ovulated on any given day...So I hope that makes you feel better. :hugs:

If you want a coverline, you are going to have to use TCOYF. FF will not draw one until Ov is detected and you have 3 high temps over six, with a sustained thermal shift. so you might want to get that TCOYF chart going to use with the FF chart. TCOYF will give you the coverline before OV. That's why I like it, so you can actually see if it's picking up if OV is around the corner.

:hugs: I admire you weighed in..I don't even own a scale L.E.:nope: I only get my weight when I go to the Dr.'s and even then I don't care to know, but they say it aloud so I found out anyway. I am a short girl...5 ft 2 and I know that I am too heavy for my frame. I am SUPPOSE to be lighter than this. I had a knee injury as a teen, which Dr. says is arthritis (both knees now)...Diagnose with that at 28. I was on Naproxen Rx for a while and pain pills for pain. Just don't have enough damage for surgery yet. when i would hurt (left knee) I would shift my weight to the right, so I grind down the cartilage in the right knee...Thus making more of a problem, hence both knees. I know I need to lose some weight. but it's hard to get going when you are alone in the exercise. I live away from my friends and family, in a whole different town. So I am not close to either. My closest friend lives about 2 hours away so there goes the exercise partner! lol

Wednesday sounds like a plan...:happydance:

Okay... another question lol...

I am not sure if he would change the dosing or not if the labs are normal. It's worth asking about though, you know best if your current dose is doing it's job or not. My grandmother has thyroid issues also, hers used to be over-active, now it's under-active. you both are taking the same Rx for it. Her dose hasn't changed either, she hasn't been able to lose too much weight and she sleeps a lot (ok she is older but still, she is out at the drop of a hat), she hasn't had labs done on her recently for it.

So maybe checking to see if it can be upped would be helpful. That alone could help OV...and may help the irregular bleeding; has your Dr. checked your FSH and checked your Prolactin levels at all? since your Thyroid can mess with that too. There is a way to do this minus the expense of Dr. fees. First Response make the fertility tests, that will check you FSH and it's much more economical. You PAOS let it sit for 30 minutes if I remember correctly, maybe its an hour. It works like an LH test, if the test line is darker than the control line then your FSH is high.

So that would eliminate that one. The tests are about the same as a 2 or 3 pack of FRER's. I am not sure how many are in the box, but it may as well be at least 2 or so. I do believe that if there is a need for the dose to be upped, the weight won't be an issue anymore, and you could lose the weight you wanted too, because the Tyroid would be under control...

So I think #1 The Fertility tests, #2 up dose of Levothyroxine, #3 call about Clomid and Provera, #4 SA (which you MAY be able to hold off on for a sec, given the results on Fertility test). So plan written down :hugs: now lets swing it in motion!!! :happydance:

Well my doc requires the SA to start Clomid, otherwise I wouldn't spend the $175. I'm thinking I'll leave the thyroid alone for now since I really don't want to add something extra to the mix yet. I may be able to bed BD in tonight as long as the spotting stays minimal. I'm still taking opks and they're light. I ordered 100 online today to be sure I'm ready to go if/when I start Clomid.

I actually called my doc this afternoon about starting the Provera and Clomid. A nurse is supposed to call me back (I guess tomorrow). DH already asked his boss about getting a 1/2 day off Fri, so I'm going to try to schedule the SA for that day.

I wish I could find my lab results, but my hormone levels were actually pretty normal. My doc was actually surprised at how normal they were since I have PCOS.

Hopefully your youngest will catch up a bit size-wise. It's probably not a big deal to him or the other kids at his age.

I found my labs from last year...woohoo!
Thyroid- 1.38, Thyrox- 0.84, glucose-88, 2 hr glucose-83, FSH- 5.3, LH-6.6, insulin- 16.7, 2hr insulin- 20.0, thyroxine- 7.7, prolactin- 15.3
Now I'm not sure if Thyrox and thyroxine are different tests, or if I heard wrong and wrote them wrong. You can see that besides the insulin, my levels were pretty normal.

Oh and I wanted to say that I'm sure it's no big deal for you to not have a scale. From your pic you look like you're at a good weight, even if you think you could stand to lose a few lbs. I'm not going to say how much weigh or how much I have to lose as it would be too embarrassing. Let's just say that I'm down 42 lbs from my highest and if I lose 60 more, I'll still be heavier than I'm supposed to be. So don't feel bad if you have a few lbs you think you need to lose. I know I could eat better and exercise more but I think a lot of the weight came from my hormones or insulin being off, well and low thyroid doesn't help. I just seemed to put on weight so quickly, it was unreal. So, anyway, you look lovely and don't be discouraged by a few lbs. I have a lot more to lose than that.

Oh and I'm 5'1" on a good day haha, so yea I'm waaay heavier than I "should" be. Sorry about your knees. My hubby's knees have bothered him since HS (track, soccer) but yours sound worse. :(

L.E. wow you're 5'1...im 5'2 on a good day

Fngrs-Im here sorry just been busy with the family and cleaning.

AFM, today i am on cd12. Yes the spotting is still here. DH and I were busy yesterday cleaning up and spending time with MIL and Aunt Cherry (aunt from England). She loves to travel and so she was telling us beautiful places to visit and cant wait until we go on a cruise and start travelling :cloud9: DH and I have talked about the while progesterone issue yesterday as well. So we have came to the conclusion that when I have long bleeds and/or start bleeding earlier than normal..we think that there was a fertilized egg and it just wasnt able to implant or did implant but was unsuccessful at developing so i was having early m/c's. So DH was like..you are one fertile lady and we have been able to get pregnant but its the STAYING pregnant that is the issue and he is right. So im thinking that this is another early m/c of some sort which causes me to bleed longer. Because last cycle lasted 7 days exactly and we both think an egg wasnt fertilized because we really didnt dtd as much as we wanted to  So now DH is happier because he feel with the progesterone, we will get pregnant in no time  I get paid on Friday so i'm going to put $50 aside and call my doc on Friday to see when i can setup an appt. Im going to bring last cycle's chart and my current one so he can see what's going on and im going to insist that i receive the progesterone and see what happens. Hopefully he can look at the chart and says yes it looks like a progesterone issue. Im just ready to be able to hold a LO in our arms. Also, DH and I placed a little birthing bet for whe nwe do have a successful pregnancy. He says 16 has been showing up a lot around me like cycle wise and stuff and he was saying that he is going to bet that i am going to give birth on the 16th of my due date month. And i said im not. But in my head i was thinking about my m/c edd which was nov. 16th! So i hope he isnt right :haha: Well thats all for now.

MzSwizz I hope your doc does what you're requesting. I don't see how it could hurt. Hopefully it helps you get a LO. Sounds like we're all making progress which helps give hope, and I think we could all use a little hope. :)

yes we sure can use a little hope. I know soon we will have our LOs in our arms.
