Positive or evaporation line?????? HELP!

My period was due today & I took this test at night. It is a Walgreens brand so it's a cheap blue-dye kind. Anyway, this showed up after the 2 minute mark, but right around 10-15 minutes after. I've had evap lines before on tests, but this was was really thick, dark and blue. I took another test about an hour after this one and it was negative, but no evap lines. Any thoughts would be helpful...I'm losing my mind as we have been TTC for 2 years!

I would say that's a BFP, and maybe the 2nd test was negative because it wasn't concentrated enough? I'd by an FRER though.. GL!

Gosh its looks so positive to me but if it took 10-15 minutes to show up it might be an evap, Go get a pink dye test, What Dpo are you?

I don't know the exact day I ovulated, but assuming I am 15-16dpo. I took another blue dye test about 10 mins ago (bought a 3pack) & a 2nd line showed up immediately but its very faint & I feel like my eyes are playing tricks on me! I'm going to the store to get the FRER & will test again tonight. I would do a digital but I've heard a lot of negative opinions on those & they are so expensive. Thanks for your input girls!

I've heard so many different things regarding evaporation lines & blue dye tests its so stressful! This would be our first baby so I'm super obsessed every month.
Has anyone had evaporation lines like this pic? I've never seen one this dark that showed in 10 mins. I'll try not to get my .hopes up too high!

I've only used these blue dye tests once or twice. I always avoid buying them because I've heard so many things about them.. If that's an evap though, I'd be totally surprised! But if I were you I would be sure to test again with an FRER. keep us posted

I see a line!!

Just a side note..when i got pregnant back in Oct, I also used a Walgreen's brand test. It was BFN in the time frame. I threw in my bathroom drawer. The next morning I looked at it was positive. I also thought it was a evap line. I went and got a 2 pack test that night and took another test (basically 24 hours later) and it was a blaring BFP.

So what I'm trying to say, is give it another day. But I bet you it will be a BFP! Good luck to you...

Just an udpate - I took 2 FRER and both negative

Still no AF however... probably due to thinking about it so much.

Why couldn't this be easier?!?!?

Going through similar thing to you, this is my first ever post after lurking for best part of three years! I have got a pink line after fifteen minutes on sensitive one step, nothing on FRER (unless you employ imagination - but it is hard to see through the shiny screen...). Only have one tube and thought it was unlikely this month but am now hoping all over again for the howevermanyth time!!! Hope you are managing a day off testing to chill out, I am only 7dpo so should know better but its hard to stop yourself! Good luck! Need to work hard how to add emoticons!!

looks bfp to me i got a really faint line on a frer and i dont think anyone else could of seen my line.
try again tomorrow. just out of curiosity have you re checked your frer i no you shouldnt after the time but maybe have a peak

Just lost my long rambling reply - probably for the best! Hope you are okay Brittsho - we will get there in the end (after three years I am starting to believe this -think I felt worse a year ago - thought I would just feel worse and worse then, but a calm has recently descended!). If I do manage it this month it will be down to preseed, ovulation tests, walnuts and pineapple!

asibling - Its good to know FRER did not give you an answer until 11dpo - I am steering clear of proper tests for a bit longer as the last one left me gutted! Still getting very faint lines on the cheap one step strip ones, as long as I hold my pee for a few hours (10dpo).

Whatever happens I am going to try and be kinder to myself and do lots of fun stuff (after maybe having a little cry if its not the month!).

my advice is wait a few days... it may be hard but you're going to make yourself go crazy if you keep testing... just wait.

girl76, I hope this is your month sweetie..Yes, I like FRERS because though they never gave me a positive result before 11dpo, there were never even evaps on them or hints of lines before than so they never mislead me and they are pretty accurate! I hope everyone gets their BFPS this month!

Just an update... this was a BFN. I ended up getting my period a few days ago. My cycles are very long so my doctor recently prescribed Clomid to me since he doesn't think I'm ovulating...nothing like insult to injury. Oh well, I suppose I will try to keep my head up for next month!
