Positive ovulation test

Can they really detect pregancy because im not even near ovulating im actually 2days late for my period instead of a pregancy test my sister brought me an ovulation test i took it anyway and the result window is way darker than the control line which means positive i read somewhere it can detect pregnancy if you are pregnant and ovulating

Yes it is true that OPK's can detect pregnancy. Usually by the time you get a positive OPK, however, you will have enough HcG to get a positive pregnancy test. If you aren't late for your period yet, a line on an OPK that isn't positive doesn't mean pregnancy. It is very normal for a woman to have varying amounts of LH still in her system from ovulation all the way through to the start of her period. I was getting dark (not positive though) OPK's last month, only to start my period 2-3 days later. But since you are late and the OPK was very much positive I think there is a good chance you are pregnant! Try and get a HPT to verify and good luck!
