Positive Pregnancy Test 5 weeks after miscarriage

Hi all! I am looking for answers and don't know where else to turn. I found out that I was going to miscarry Feb. 2 (2 days before my birthday) and had a natural miscarriage Feb. 28. I bled for 2 1/2 weeks and it turned to brown spotting. I was told my period would return in 1 to 3 months after and that I could start trying again after 1 normal period. Well there is never anything normal about my periods so I wasn't sure what to look out for. Well I have been taking pregnancy tests once a week to see if my levels have gone down and they are all positive. I went to the doctor and he gave me a scan and I was all clean with an exception of very little blood left over. Last week I gave up on the tests and told myself to just wait it out to see. Well yesterday I noticed that I started to bleed again so I thought it was my period. Today it got a little heavier. I took another test and it was positive again. I have all pms symptoms. I even have what appears to be a clogged milk duct. I am very confused. Is it possible to be a period when I'm getting positive tests? Did anyone experience this? I'd really like to try again soon.

Is there any possibility that you could be pregnant again? When was your last time seeing the doc? I got pregnant right after a MC while I was waiting for my first period. Some say you are extra fertile after a MC.

I would definitely suggest you see your doctor then to do some blood work. They should check your HCG level. If its still a positive number they should check it again it 1 week to be sure it's dropping. Good luck!
