I am 18 and graduated last school year, I was extremely fit before I got pregnant, I played senior high school volleyball for A vary competitive coach, I had a rock solid stomach and I was in the best shape of my life. I live on the farm so I also was very strong from carrying grain pales, bales, calves and you name it. I actually even won $250 at an arm wrestling competing wen I was like 20 weeks pregnant.

I have gained 40lbs and I am 38 weeks, I have been eating healthy and stayed fairly active so not sure where all the weight is. Anyway I am just wondering how much it's gonna take to get my
Body back. I have tones of stretch marks which I don't really care about all I want is to have a flat tummy again even I don't have the nicely chiseled abs I used to. I guess I'm more worried about if my skin will tighten up more then if my actually belly will shrink back down...

I am sure you're going to get your body back very soon, especially since you've been active and you are young ;) I gained 35 lbs throughout my pregnancy - went from 129 lbs to 164 lbs (was also active, ate healthy and was surprised why I gained so much, majority of it in the last couple of months) I lost all the baby weight within 2 months and at 4 month pp I am less than my prepreg weight! I am at 123 lbs and losing. The past two months I've been doing pilates (20 min 3x a week) and the only thing before that I did was walking with my baby. I do exclusively pump and that burns a great amount of calories. But yes, I'm pretty confident you'll bounce back quickly as long as you're eating healthy and staying active :)

You look fantastic :) a lot of pregnancy weight is fluid...you have 30-40% more blood in your system, and water retention too. Fluid weighs a lot! Then say 8lb for baby, 3-4lb for the placenta, bigger boobs then a bit of body fat and ta dah! Lots of weight :) I bet a lot of your weight is the baby. You look similar to me, you're all bump! My LO weighed 9lb 9oz at birth. I'm now 8 weeks PP and my stomach isn't too different from what it was but have definitely lost muscle tone. I'm not very sporty so not done anything yet to fix it but DH used to be a personal trainer and says I coyld easily get back into shape in 3-6 months...if I can be bothered haha. But sounds like you are really fit so I reckon it won't take you long. My skin seems fine btw, no sagging or anything.

I dunno why my body reacted this way, but who knows.

I gained 27 lbs, being weighed at 177 lbs on the day I delivered.

This is me today (8 days pp) / day after delivery / day before delivery.

It is possible you will bounce right back. I am currently my pre-preggo weight, but I'm not BF'ing so my boobs went back to C's and I lost my appetite after delivery. I've done nothing special.

It's different for everyone unfortunately. I gained 22lbs, but my baby was 5 weeks early. I lost all the weight 2 weeks after she was born and my stomach went back to normal. Since she was in the NICU, I was pumping every 3 hours and that burned a ton of calories

When she came home and I started breastfeeding on demand, things changed. I have now gained 5lbs back and I am constantly starving! I have a love hate relationship with breastfeeding. I hate how hungry it makes me feel and how I have to eat constantly or I feel ill. But it's best for baby and forms a wonderful bond!

Anyways... It's different for every person. My stomach is flat again, but I lost all muscle tone. I also notice muscle loss in my legs.

I'm sure you ll go right back. You re young and fit so you're body will most probably be back in shape very quickly ;)
I'm struggling this time breastfeeding normally takes it all from me, only. 6 wks pp so early days but it's my third baby and I'm getting older so reckon going to require quite a few sessions at the gym!! X

Don't let anyone make you think that you can lose the weight but you'll always be flabby. I had my first in 2009 via Csection (which supposedly means you REALLY can't get your abs back). I began seriously exercising and eating healthy in 2011 and was able to flatten my stomach completely. The skin will take its own time to tighten, but it will.

It's very possible and even more now that you're so young.
