Do you guys find it saves you that much money to use the powder over the concentrate? How long does one can last you?

I had one of those freebie cans from Similac (it was kind of small) and it seemed to be gone so fast, whereas a case of the concentrate lasts me probably a week and a couple of days (12 x 381?mL cans)

I find it can be a bit pricey ($36.99, but if these stores are sold out or I need to get it at night after hours I end up paying over $40 for it).. but I'm just wondering how much I could actually save, and if it would be worth switching.. esp since I didn't like the powder when I used it really

Here the powder is much cheaper, the smaller cans..I think it's like 12oz lasted right about a week. I bought it at Costco and that's a 38oz can for like $33 I think when I looked it up earlier?

I feel like either way it lasts a week, from what everyone on here as said.

I only use powder because Gentlease only comes in powder form.

So with concentrate you have to water it down? Like fruit juice/squash?

We dont have that kind of thing over here, its just powder or full ready made

I think it might be cheaper for you once you start weaning. Right now it is probably the same cost.

yep that's what it is

For us the powder works better as Hannah never was a big milk drinker, and when we looked at the concentrate we would have ended up wasting quite a lot.

At that age a can of powder lasted 6-7 days, now a can last a couple of weeks

I used concentrate to start, as I was a bit neurotic with measuring the proper amounts...

Now we use powder, mainly for the same reasons as Wendy as we use Enfamil Gentlease and it only comes in powdered form. Truth be told, when Claire was drinking alot of formula I found that the cases of concentrate were cheaper. Now that she doesn't drink as much formula as she's on solids the powder is definitely better for us.

I found teh cases of concentrate were cheaper too!

I use powder now though only because she doesnt drink alot and its easier for long day trips etc to just add the powder as we need!
