pram/pushchair dilemna

hi,
our pram has just broken, but as i'm expecting there seems no point in getting another single. Can anyone recommend a pram which is small enough for transport/shopping but that can comfortably fit a toddler and a newborn?
I'm tempted by the babyjogger city select, but its so expensive

I'm in the same boat, my little girl I'll be 1 year and 8 months when our next little monster appear's and I'm looking at the mini city jogger but expensive!!!!

How about this tandem pushchair by safety first. Seems to be cheap but I'm not sure how that reflects in the quality.
