Pre making bottles?

I just run the tap till the water is warm and make the bottle with that.

Just wanted to ask, when you run the tap warm, is it from a special heated tap or just regular? Cos if it's just your regular water supply, that comes direct from your water tank which has been pre-boiled by the boiler. That water is sitting for a while in a very non-sterile state. Should never drink warm water from the tap, can be very unsafe.

Not trying to be miss know it, just thought I would mention just in case.

It's regular water and the water heater is plenty hot enough.. We don't sterilize his bottles anyway, just use hot soapy water. Nobody in the US that I know boils water for bottles.

Wow wouldn't we all love to live in the US lol if all babies out there have bottles from normal un sterlie water us lot have wasted a lot of time!! That was an interesting fact to know!! xx

Also I have always pre made bottles since LO was born and she is perfectly healthy!! xx

Yeah, probably. The water in my town is some of the best. I have no idea if there are ladies who boil their water. Perhaps if they have well water instead of city water, it would be necessary to boil it. I just know that of the women who use formula that I've asked, they just use tap water.

I really don't think its a fact of where you live that the water you use is the best, its the fact that most homes have plumbing with lead in the pipes which apparently when using hot water this concentrates the lead into the water although by using cold water it will reduce the exposure to lead from tap water.

Although some faucets have filters specially designed which can remove lead from drinking water.

I make up the next days the night before- then I know it's done. I have a strict rotation policy in place so that they are never there more than 24hrs. It's what works best for me.

I make them (only a few at a time) in advance..boil the water, let it cool and then store it in a sterilized container for the day..and make bottles out of that as I go.
