Hi LAdies

was just wondering if anyone knew what i could do, i had an incident at work yesterday where a man was very aggressive and verbally abusive, shouting swearing ans blocked my car in a parking space so i could not get out. I reported this to my manager and basically nothing has been done other than a phone call to him to say this was not acceptable. Now i work for a housing association and we have a dedicated ASB team who are meant to deal with this kind of thing. I think they should of gone out and visited him to tell him he's in breach of his enancy agreement etc. I felt very unsupported by my manager and my work STILL have not doen a risk assessment for me since i informed them i am pregnant.
So does anyojne know what my rights are here and where i can go from here?????

My work have yet to complete a risk assessment too, point out that regardless of whether you are pregnant or not, this man should be dealt with and just keep on top of it for a week or two and if nothing happens raise it as an official grievance with your HR department (my mate in HR just told me to post that).

I agree with Filibear,

What an awful man. :growlmad: I manage a big group of lads  so i know about managing people. A manager is there to help and support you at work, this if everything from fighting your corner when some arrogant idiot shouts at you in a car park, down to supporting through your pregnancy.

Pregnancy is tough enough!

I would firstly have a chat with your manager havin written down everything that bothering you and if he doesn't respond go over their head!

Good luck petal.....:flower:

By law they have to complete a risk assessment for you as soon as they know you are pregnant hun. I'd just remind them that its not just you kicking up a fuss but by law they HAVE to do it for yours and the baby's safety. There should be a leaflet in your bounty folder that has all working info whilst pregnant you could show that to your manager too it will have all the guidelines in it.

As for the man you had problems with i'd pursue it pregnant or not his behaviour was out of order!

Thanks for your replies ladies. I had a 121 with my manager yesterday and brought it up with her. She still wasn't hugely supportive but said she will log it with the anti aocial behaviour team and get the man visited. Doubt anything will happen but its worth a try!

I would definitely raise a grievance hon, are you in a union?

I am a probation officer and we probably share a similar client group in some ways, esp re ASB. If I had something like this happen the man involved woulnd't know what hit him!

And I woudl email your manager saying you expect your H&S assessment within the next 10 working days or will raise a grievance...
