I was in Walmart the other day and they had pregnancy support bands on clearance for $3! Never had one with my first pregnancy and wasn't planning on using one with my second but for $3 I figured why not right? Just trying it on I know it's going to be a lifesaver! It's just Velcro straps that you wrap around below your belly and then there's two Velcro bungee straps on either side that you wrap around to tighten it. Had sciatica, SPD and back pain near the end of my last pregnancy and I've noticed it coming on a lot earlier this time around. I have scoliosis and lordosis and the band definitely helps support the lower back, supposed to help with SPD and sciatica but I haven't worn it long enough to really test that theory, I'm not really that big yet. I have a black stretchy belly band that I put over it under my shirt and you cant even see it. Definitely recommend if any of you were on the fence.

Where do you live? I'm in Kansas city and the WalMarts around here don't seem to carry any maternity stuff! I was looking for support bands there.

Glad it's working well for you, and wow what a deal at $3! :)

Maine. There's a small diplay of maternity accesories in the intimates dept near the nursing bras. Our stores dont usually carry mat stuff either, just this one diplay and I'm guessing they're doing away with it because a lot of the stuff was on clearance? Either that or it was a return that someone ordered online. Not sure but it was a nice find. I'm definitley wearing it tomorrow, the days only half way over and the pregnancy aches and pains have already set in.

icegurl I'm so jealous of your american prices - you lucky ladies! They carry nothing in Canada for under $40 in belly bands and the really good one was $80. I tried one on over the weekend and I can totally agree how it felt great and will help. But at that price I might just wait a little or look on ebay.

2have4kids look on maternity and baby Facebook groups local to your area. I bought a slightly used "really good" one for $20.
