Pregnancy Test With Strange Result

This afternoon I took a FirstVue HPT from Poundland. The instructions say that one vertical line in the control window and one vertical line in the test window is a positive test. In my case, the line in the test window was horizontal! I plan to take another test this evening but in the meantime, what on earth could this mean? It had a line in the control window, implying the test was correctly taken.

Any ideas what this means??

I just took another one and got exactly the same result! I'm going to the chemist tomorrow and buying a First Response Early Result.

This is so weird though. It's driving me nuts!

Since it states a vertical line is positive and you had a horizontal line I'd assume that to be negative

Mine did the same, it was really bizarre.
