Hi everyone, I'm pregnant 9 months on after a EMCS. Reason was because he got distressed and was 10lb 2.. Midwife has told me that I can go for a VBAC this time as my body did what it was meant to do and I was 10cm in theatre but he was in too much distress and needed to get out...

I'm scared about a VBAC though as much as I want one lol :/

Hi i had an emergency csection with my daugher after a failed induction. I got pregnant 10 months later and my consultant said i could have a planned section because the same thing was likely to happen. I had my son 5 months ago and found it v calm and felt in control and found i recovered much quicker this time. Good luck with whatever route u go for x

I am 4 months pp. I had an emergancy Csection after a failed induction and I am pregnant again. I am intending to ask for a planned section.

I wish I would have known with my 2nd pregnancy that I could have a VBAC. I didn't mind any of my c-sections (3 total, 1 more on the way) but if I had to chance to at least try a natural birth I would have taken it.

I had a c section at 34 weeks. 6 months later I found out I was pregnant again. 16 months after my c section I had a successful vbac. Best choice I ever made. Recovery was so much quicker. I couldn't imagine recovering from a c section with a baby and a toddler. I had a lot of issues after my c section as I felt I'd failed by not being able to naturally give birth, having a vbac was a great healing to that. After 2 sections they're more hesitant for you to vbac, but with my next I'll be going for a vbac home water birth.

they'll be a year between my 2 little ones. I had a section at 36+4, induction didn't go well, didn't get past 2cm and fetal distress. I've been told even with being due on my son's first birthday I could go for VBAC if I wanted to.
I'm so scared of the idea of attempting VABC, not because of the rupture risk as that's less then 1% but because I didn't dilate with my first so worried it would just end up in another EMCS, I'd just rather by pass all that and go for the section.

That's my idea too, I'm scared that ill end up having another emcs, and going through all I did like last time to be told no. However this time I'd rather try for a vbac, and if it goes to section, at least I tried ! I loved the whole sensation of my waters breaking and the excitement and then contractions etc, I still went through 10 hours of labour and got to 10cms so I know I could do it, just worrying lol. X

I'm in the same position although smaller gap (will be 15 months between births) and I'm the same! I'd love to try vbac, but don't know if ELCS is the best option. I had an induced labour last time but got to 10cm and pushed for 45 mins before my dd became distressed, when they tried forceps they found she was brow presentation so was stuck and had to have EMCS.

I would love to vbac as it may be my only chance as I don't think they tend to offer vba2c much here in the uk but I've been told by my MW that if I vbac I will have to have an epidural (which I don't want). I also don't want to be induced so for me it's a case of going into labour naturally or having an ELCS. I worry about child care for my dd and how I will cope with her and a newborn if I have a c section but then a vbac is no guarantee it won't end in c section anyway!

I have my consultant appointment on Tuesday so hopefully he will give me more insight then and more info of when I could expect to have an ELCS if I choose one etc
