Prescribed Clomid for the first time - headaches

I start taking 50 mg of Clomid on days 3-7, U/S on day 12 to check follies, trigger shot, then IUI 36 hours after that. AF was supposed to arrive yesterday, but she's taking her time this month apparently. Of course, I tested 2 days ago

I wonder what factors the Dr. considers when prescribing the dosage of Clomid and the days of your cycle that you take it?

I hope that works out next thurs. Let us know!! I feel really stupid because when I was talking to my doctor when he first prescribed me the clomid he said i would be taking 100mg so i never thought to check the milligrams that he actually gave me. I only checked to make sure it was the correct medication. Anyways, I started my 3rd round on wednesday of this week and I happen to look at the mg's and it was only 50 mg's. I have one more RX for the clomid after this one but it's for 50 mg also. I was thinking about asking him for an increase to 100mg for my last try and if that doesn't work then I won't take it for awhile. I just wanted to be preggers before I turned 40 this year. I really really thought I was this time but the problem with that dang clomid is it makes you have some symptoms of pregnancy and also makes you feel EVERYTHING your ovaries are doing LOL>

I decided this month I wasn't going to let my hubby know when I am ovulating so that he won't feel pressured like last month. I usually start checking for a + OPK begining on CD9 for me. I got my positive on CD13 last month. Keeping fx'd for you too!

Thank you Bravemom!! I see you have previous children. Did you have problems getting preggers before and how old is your youngest? I have two children who are 13 and 10 but tried exactly 2 years to get prego with both. My first I had to laporoscopic procedures done for my endometriosis plus a round of clomid. (can't remember the mg's though) On my 2nd son it was just natural but 2 years later. I am remarried and would love to have a child with my husband as he is a wonderful man and I would love for him to experience what I feel with my beautiful boys!! Good luck with you as well and your ttc. How long have you been trying??

Tundra my pills r 50mg but I take 2 of them each day. Last month I told boyf when the cbfm showed the egg and it put him off his stride! So this month I didn't say on the day and he didn't ask that first peak day-he normally does. So there wasn't a prob. He asks how many chillied I am-3 on a peak day is super hot and fiery!!

I've been trying for seven years and my baby girl is almost 8 years old ,I had her wen I was 38 Had no problems having my other kids

So what has your doctor said? Have they suggested anything for you? Just curious? And it seems frustrating to know you have been preggers and can't seem to get that way. My pregnancies were so very long ago that I can't remember what days I ovulated etc but I have not been on BC for about 15 years and I certainly have not prevented pregnancy either. I have learned one thing for sure, I can't make it happen. I've actually been trying to let go some on the thought and just pray for the best. I really hope you have success. What are your next steps?
