Ok I need some present help.

Its my 5th wedding anniversary coming up and I need to get OH a present. I've always managed before to get something that matches the year. This year is wood and I just can't come up with anything. He's not a sentimental person and prefers practical things. Any ideas?

Guess it depends what his interests are, and how much you typically spend. First things that popped in my head were: wooden fishing pole stand, gun cabinet or gun rack, wooden patio chair set (like Adirondack style maybe?), painting put onto wood backing (I've seen some in Pinterest where you paint the wood, then paint/stencil on family stats, like Family last name, anniversary date, etc) and then put a picture hanger piece onto the back of the wood to display it.

I got this for my OH two years ago and he loves it and gets compliments (from other men!) on it everywhere we go.

Also check out Grove Made. They do the most amazing iPod/iPad/iPhone cases. If he's in to fashion you can get gorgeous wooden raybans on Etsy... In fact just Etsy in general have almost everything in wood!

Or perhaps have a look somewhere like Graham & Green of Nkuku for nice house things in wood?

Good idea but he's not a fishing/hunting person and got me a garden bench for my birthday a couple of years ago

Never heard of etsy before. He's an apple hater (programmer, so loves open source stuff). I like the shaving set, it would look good in the bathroom even if he never bothered using it.

I will look round etsy some more to see if something perfect jumps out.

Have you tried notonthehighstreet.com? I've got oh a few things from there. Really can't remember what I got him for our 5th if I'm honest. Our budget is usually between £10 & £20.
Maybe a photoframe with a good picture of you both in for his desk at work. A wooden house number sign. A wooden sign for his shed.
