Hi,

Just popping in here to get some advice from some new mummies.

With our 1st we had a Fisher Price Seahorse were going to get another one for this wee one, but they had some issues with them earlier this year, which were also featured on Watchdog, so that has really put us off getting another one.

I remember reading lots of people raving about Slumber Bears and how good they were, so was just wondering what your experiences were.

Thank you.

We had one, we never used the bear, just strapped the "noise box" as we called it to the crib. We used it a lot when he was tiny but had issues once the batteries ran out. You can't use good quality batteries in them for some reason, it just doesn't turn on with them. You have to put one cheap battery at least in the middle slot, and then it got through them at a hell of a rate. The batteries that it came with it lasted about 10 weeks, all replacements lasted less then 2 weeks. It's really good when it's got power though! My guy really liked the womb noise and it was subtle enough that it didn't wake us up when it triggered and he was in our room

We didn't have one, but I do recommend Ewan the Dream Sheep. DS still loves him and insists on having him in the cot. It plays a heartbeat, womb sounds, Hoover and a really nice piano tune that actually sends me to sleep. There is a sound on each foot and DS can now turn one on himself in the night if he needs it.

I had one when my LO was little, the white noise box that came with it was really useful as it turns itself on when baby starts fussing

We had one for DS1 and it was ok, I wouldn't have raved about it. I also found it slightly annoying because if I'd forgotten to turn it off overnight and somehow he set it off it would disturb him.

We've got a Ewan the dream sheep for DS2 and I really like Ewan :haha: So does Milo. The pink glow seems to be quite soothing for him and he loves the rain noise with the heartbeat. Plus he likes to chew on him!

I have used ours for both kids and particularly for number2 it has been invaluable.

We also tried ewan the dream sheep but it was rubbish for ehat we wanted as he would wake up as soon as the noise stopped after twenty mins.

Another Ewan fan here!! We use it as part of bed and naptime routine.
