Private antenatal care

Does anyone know if you decide to have private antenatal care do you still have to go to the GP initially to be referred to the local hospital?

We saw a private fertility specialist and now a private obstetrician and we just contacted the clinic directly to arrange it. If you don't have a hospital or clinic in mind maybe speak to your gp and see if the can suggest one? The place you chose to receive your care from will take all the details of your normal gp when you register with them.
