Private scan today, SCARED!!!

I have an early scan booked today at 2pm & i'm scared. I'm worried either there won't be a heartbeat or the baby isn't growing like it should. Anyone had an early scan around 7-8 weeks, did they do it internally? What should I expect to see? Thanks for any help girls.x

Me too! I'm eight weeks today and have a scan at 12:10 this afternoon. I'm really scared aswell, just keep expecting the worse. Hope you get on ok.

Just noticed you're from Essex. Where are you having your scan? I'm going to Baby Bond in Chelmsford.

i had scan at what i thought was 8wks but i was only 6wks i saw heartbeat and not much else as baby is too small good luck ladies im sure yr scans will be fine seeing that little heartbeat makes it all worth while

Im going to have my scan at babybond in cambridge. I'm hoping they can date the pregnancy too, because im 8 weeks 3 days according to my last period, but I don't have 28 day cycles, so i'd like a more accurate due date. good luck

i had a private scan last year i was 7 weeks offically but told the dr i was 6 weeks due to when i ovulated which was confirmed when she measured. i didnt have an internal and she was picked up after a bit of zooming in lol, heart beat and all. i was terified also but just try and relax and soon you'll be seeing your little beans on the big screan. everything will be fine. xxx

I saw a heartbeat n at 7 weeks and a blob lol! But it
was worth the peice of mind. Hope your scans go ok

I had a babybond scan at 7+6, pic is my avatar. They have great equipment there (much better than my local NHS) so an abdominal one will probably be ok. Make sure you drink a pint of water an hour beforehand. Good luck ladies. xxx

I had one during the week at 7+4. It was just an abdominal scan, and I saw the heartbeat flicker, along with a tiny, baby-shaped blob.

I had the scan for reassurance more than anything else, as my official scan won't be until I'm about 14 weeks.

i also had a scan at 7+6 weeks (due to bleedin) everything was perfect could see a whitw little beanshape with little buds (must be arms and legs devolping ) and the heart flicking super fast lol was so cute only thing i was upset i for got to as for a pic i was that overwelmed my little one was perfect and fine after bleeding i for got oh well 12w scan on tue wooop defo gettin pics !!!

Scan was fantastic, although I was in agony as I think I over did the water, but the sonographer was impressed at how full my bladder was!! Couldn't make out any shape of a baby, it was just a flickering blob but you could see the heart beating. She measured the CRL as 16mm which was exactly 8 weeks. And also confirmed there was only 1 in there (DH was very relieved!) Hopefully I can relax a bit more until my NHS 12 week scan on 20th July. Hope yours went ok this afternoon too. xx

I had my scan at Baby Bond in Chelmsford. Their early scans are £99. These can be done between 7 and 11 weeks. They were really lovely there, can highly recommend them.
