I just had my day 21 bloods done, my progesterone is at 15.4. Just hoping someone can shed some light on my numbers for me :) AF isn’t due til the 29th

How long is your LP normally. Mine is 12 days so my CD21 bloods were low. Had them done on cd19 the next month and they were in the 40’s. Doctors think that everyone has a 14 day LP but that’s just not true

I can’t imagine a modern day, licensed gyn not understanding how lps work. If so, please RUN!

I did a brief search but the few sites I checked were consistent. But when testing at Day 20/21, the following are general rules:
1. If the level is above 3, ovulation has occurred.
2. On average, at 7-10 dpo the levels will be above 8-10.
3. Levels above 10 are usually high enough to sustain pregnancy in an unassisted pregnancy.
4. Levels above 15 are usually targets for women who used ovulation drugs.
5. Levels above 20 are targets for women who used IVF.
6. It is thought that higher levels (close to 20) indicate pregnancy, but some non pregnant women can be that high. First trimester levels can range from 10 to 100.
7. Many variables affect the levels: time of day, cycle day, have you eaten or not and what, different labs can have different results from the same sample. Fickle test

Hope that helps! Fxed! Def update

I would perhaps ask for a repeat test but do it on CD19/20 and see if there’s a difference

My only guess is maybe to see if it increases? After that initial period (midluteal phase), your progesterone will fall unless you are pregnant. If they are at all concerned about progesterone levels, they would want to know early if pregnancy is suspected to treat and monitor to try and maximize viability.
