Pumping question

Hi all. Ive just started pumping my milk to get a supply so my husband can help out occasionly. Ive pumped twice and both times my nipple ends up looking really swollen. Am i doing it wrong or is it normal?

I found this with manual pumps and they really hurt, my electric one doesnt have this issue

I'm not sure how big yours are getting, buy mine do appear larger for a few minutes after I pump.

Have you tried a different sized flanges? Not everyone can use the "standard" size that comes with the pump.
