Q about Vests & Highchairs...

Connah has sat at the table since around 20months. He was a tad short before that and we could only see his eyes if he sat at the table :haha:

I binned all Connah's popper vests about a month ago. I was gonna buy more but decided to go for normal ones instead. Thinking of getting some for winter maybe though x

Yeah thats it shes wearing 12-18 vests which are getting small, and theyre fit for the bin, Dont think i will buy more actually, I could use the money to get her some long sleeved tops actually. yep, and some big girl vests! :)

Ellis went into a booster on a chair at around 15 months to free space.

Vest we still use but only in winter. Managed to buy long sleeve 2-3 popper vests from NEXT.

My LO never used a high chair - just a booster chair with a tray that sits on a regular chair? We don't use the tray anymore though - usually we just push it up to the table so he can eat with us, but he's still strapped in which is a bonus as he likes to climb out.

I quit using the popper vests at around 14 months. I loved them when he was small because the regular shirts just rode up, but once he was older they were just annoying! x

Our LO is 20 months and she only has her breakfast in her highchair.

She has lunch and dinner at the big table. She is very good in that she will sit on a dining chair and can reach up to eat her dinner - only if its fingerfood, if its something she would use a spoon for I would put her in her highchair as she doesnt quite have the height sitting at the table to spoonfeed herself!!!

She is still in 12-18 months popper vests but I hate the poppers now as its just extra hassle when dressing! I am going to get her normal vests in 1.5-2 or 2+.:flower:

well i went to asda to get normal big girl vests and i forgot

But going to get them, And gonna stop using HC and see how it goes before i put it in the garage :)

I am sure she will do just fine, she may wiggle a bit in the beginning because it's new and exciting but stay consistent and she will settle in nicely. I also think you will find not having the popper vests to be much more convenient.

Aisling has been out of the poppered vests from about 2 years and just in the normal stop at the waist ones. I stopped using the high chair when I moved in with my sister as there's not room for two at the table. Now I have a booster seat on a normal chair because otherwise she wouldn't be able to reach easily but she's not strapped in or anything. We could probably have done this much earlier but she was happy in the high chair that pulled up to the table so there was no need :)
