Question about OPK's

Hey all! It's been a while since I've been TTC, my youngest is 19 months and I just got my period back on the 1st of this month. I can't remember, does the entire test line need to be as dark or darker than the control line? Or if any part of the test line is as dark or darker than the control line is that also a positive test? I can upload a pic of my weird tests if needed, one side of the test line is dark while the other side is light. Is that normal?

The test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line, that's what it says in the instruction in my opk package. When I know I will be close to ovulation, I would also confirm with a digital opk, then there's no confusion.
