Question for BabyDan Playpen owners

Could you possibly tell me how you're supposed to fold the thing up? I just bought one second-hand and it didn't come with any instructions. I've figured out how to put it together, but I understand it's supposed to fold up really easily. The only way I can see how is to take it apart again, surely this isn't the right way to do it lol.

I got one second hand and assumed you couldn't fold it up. It looks pretty impossible unless you do undo it and do it again which takes a few good minutes.

It looks like my lindam one do you tie the padded base in? All I do is take the base out and squash it flat?

Yes, the padded bit ties onto it. Unfortunately even when you take that out, the playpen doesn't fold. It's locked into a fixed position and it doesn't appear that you can fold the entire thing without removing the five poles that secure it.

With the help of a friend who has one and hubby's brute strength lol we've managed to figure it out.

You only have to remove one of the poles on the whole playpen, then you lift up the top hinge on each section (this is the hard part, you have to use a fair bit of force) while holding the rest of the frame down with your foot if that makes sense. It pops up slightly and then you can turn it in a different direction and release it back down.

Hopefully I won't need to adjust it often anyway as I caught my fingers in it a few times lol.

I found a youtube vid which briefly shows how you turn the hinge. It's for the babydan lite playpen, but the folding mechanism is the same:

The woman in the video makes it look really easy, so perhaps mine is a bit stiff.
