So the last time i went to the doctor i was 13 weeks and my doctor had said on our next appt. which is november 3rd we should be able to find out the sex... i thought you had to be like 20 weeks or something... and sometimes even then you might not be able to find out what the gender is... but ya idk i was just gonna see what all of you thought... sorry i sound so unknowledgable im 16 and pregnant with my first so i dont no alot about this..

And also when did you all find out what the gender of you baby is.

Most of the time, yes. Doctors wait until you're 20 weeks pregnant.
But the sex does start to show a little bit before then.
I was like, 20 weeks pregnant, I think. If you're lucky,
the sex'll show if you're far enough but if not, you can always get scanned again!

I think its visible from about 16 weeks. I had the scan done at 20+4 and it took her a good 20 mins to get her into the right position. Some people wont take the time so tell you they cant see or the baby just wont move.

Usually you can tell by 18 weeks, but they like to wait until 20 weeks. I was 19 weeks when I found out I was having a girl.

I've heard from 15 weeks a skilled sonographer can tell. Babycenter says 16 weeks. I had my scan at 19 weeks exactly and we got a very clear shot of my lil girlie =]

I found out at 16 weeks. My doctors office always said 16 weeks was the earliest they could tell.

sometimes it can be seen from as early as 16 weeks, in the UK we have scans at 12 weeks & 20 weeks, and they asked at my 20 week scan whether I wanted to know the gender. think it'll just come down to whether your baby is in a good position x

I had a very experienced sonographer and a very bold baby. We found out she's a girl at 16 weeks, and she was still a girl at 20 weeks. I have another scan at 24 weeks, so hopefully she'll STILL be a girl hehe.

Teaam bluee all the waaay haha. I really want a little boy so bad. WE have the name and everything. I cant really imagine having a girl based on some of the dreams ive had... its always been a baby boy. But if the babys a girl i wont mind. I will love her just as muchh.

I noticed on your signature your having a baby girl pretty soon! What team were you before you found out?

My friend was told she was having a boy at 14 weeks. Same with my sister in law.
