Teen pregnancy was common in our 'grandparents era', it was considered normal. It's just times changing, they'll always change.

contraception fails, teens will have sex if they want. at the end of the day, you can't escape what our bodys were made to do. we were made to have babies young, not 30-40+ like everyone thinks we should

its not up to society to decide at what age you can have a child i was working a 45hour week paying my own way when i had my child so why should society say i was too young

18. How do you feel about teenage pregnancy? I think it's a shame, especially because a lot of the time, they're planned by teens who think the idea of a baby is 'cute' when in reality, you can't even comprehend how hard parenthood is.

I don't believe any amount of contraceptive advice etc will stop most of them. Maybe some but not all. Everything these days is sexualised in the media which is why most teens are having sex much younger imo

I'm not a teenager anymore but I was when I had my daughter. So I'll answer it as if I have gone back to that pregnancy. Hope it helps

15. Do you know the consequences of not using contraception? Yes - I asked my mum if I could go on the pill - she was going to talk to my dad. I was 15 at the time I asked this. Nothing else was said, so I carried on and got pregnant around the time of my 16th birthday.

18. How do you feel about teenage pregnancy? I think it just puts your life on hold for a little bit, but having my daughter gave me more motivation to do the things I wanted because I was doing it for her.

If the individual feels they're ready to have a baby I don't think anybody should stop them, It's down to that individual to decide what they want.

It's down to each individual what course they go down when they're pregnant, not society. Although I do think that society could have some effect on their choices, though it depends on the individuals situation.

Every society is completely different, teenage pregnancy may be normal in one culture and completely rare or frowned upon in another. I think in the UK there is no stopping teenagers from having sex, and as contraception is not 100% effective there will always be teenage pregnancy.
