Hi everyone! I'm TTC #1 and I was just wondering what everyone was doing to conceive better. Do you BD every day or every other day? I'm on cycle #2 and really want it to happen this month. Fingers crossed ! :winkwink:

I am cycle #3 with Femara/Letrozole. #1 didn't work to make me ovulate. Dose was upped and #2 worked. But we didn't BD as often as we should have due to money stress and we didn't have the money to use opk's that month. So I have no idea what day I O'd. I only know I did because my day 21 progesterone test showed I did. My temp chart was all over the place. So this cycle I am temping, using opk's starting tomorrow (day 8), BD every 24 hours up to day 21, and going to try and monitor my CM. I'm not sure how reliable this is for me because on cycle #1 I noticed fertile cm but didn't O but cycle #2 didn't notice anything and I O'd.
There is a post on here from someone who got pregnant after 6 months and what she did differently. Acupuncture, no dairy, no cold food or drinks (she warmed up cucumber) and various other things. Worth a shot. lol
If I don't get pregnant this cycle I am looking into acupuncture as well.

Hello! Last month was our first month TTC but it was a crazy month and we were not able to BD anytime after I got the +OPK which was frustrating. AF is due on Thursday and I seriously doubt I am pregnant. This next cycle we are going to try to BD everyday starting once AF is done and then until a +OPK and then 2 days following that. That way I think we will have covered it.

Has anyone used Preseed? I think we are going to try it out this cycle. I've heard really good things, but am still skeptical. We'll see I guess. :winkwink:

I haven't been temping because I was thinking doing BD every other day would work since they say sperm can live up to many days. But I just went and bought OPK today and hoping to see a positive this weekend on that and BD a bunch haha. It's so hard to be positive when you want it to happen this month and then when it doesn't you are kind of didsapointed. I did actually read about the acupuncture. I'm not sure if I will try that at first. I'm going to keep trying just in our own for a bit before I go get a thing crazy done and spend more money that we maybe don't need to. I mean it's only cycle #2 for me so it hasn't been to long. Have you used OPK with any other month and have you seen a positive result come from it? The only thing I worry is that if you have sex every day that the speed count isn't as high and you risk not having healthy sperm every time.

Last month was ours as well!! I didn't use OPK that month just BD every other day hoping something would come out of it and it didn't obviously :(. I haven not used pree seed. I haven't heard of anyone using it so I'm not sure how the effects are on it. It's something I'm not sure that I would spend my money on until I heard awesome reviews. When you're OPK was + did that mean you were ovulating that day or just wishing like 24-48 hours because I'm still new to the OPK and I want to make sure I'm using it correctly. I hope we both have better luck this month ! Come on cycle #2 :happydance:

I only used OPKs on my first month and never got a positive because I didn't O that month. This will be my first cycle to use them and hopefully get a positive. But sometimes you can miss the surge so they aren't perfect. The difference between every day and every other day is: every day produces less sperm but they are a bit faster; every other day produces more sperm but they are a bit slower. My hubby was told by the fertility doc that he had superman sperm (you should have seen him strut around like a peacock when he heard that lol) and so this month we have opted to do it every 24 hours. I figure if we try for every 24 hours and end up missing one day in the next 2 weeks it won't be too bad.

Aayla- you can miss the O on your OPK? How does that happen? And I didn't know that about the every 24 hours about them being faster. That's good to know. So either way you're taking a chance I guess. I think I'll stick with every other day till I get close to what I think is my O then go for a few days in a row. I hate doing it as a chore because it's not as fun but we want it so bad so it's hard not to. So many people get pregnant out of no where and its hard. My sister is 4 years younger than me and had a baby last October and wasn't trying and was in a bad relationship. So now that me and the hub are married and we really want it it doesn't seem to want to happen right away. But I'm excited to hear about your experience with everything. These forums really help answer a lot of questions.

Sometimes you can miss the surge on an opk. If you didn't take the test at the right time it can come up negative but then you surge and the next time you test it's also negative but in that 24 hours you could have surged and missed it. Some test twice a day just for that reason. lol I am going to stick with once a day. They say around 2 or 3pm is the best time.
BDing every other day up to fertile time and then every day through O is a good plan too. It can reduce the stress and clinical feel of it all. I remember the very first time we "had" to do it. It was so awkward and it just wasn't happening. From that day on we decided to just try and make it organic as possible and I never put pressure on him to perform. That's why my plan is for every day but if it doesn't happen and we miss a day I'm not going to be too worried.

Aayla- yeah I'll stick to once a day for sure. Either way I'm BD every other day but if I get a positive then every day for a few days. Yeah we both know we're trying every other day so it's not like awkward anymore. Just something that's totally different at first. We had a hard time getting used to it at first but now it's normal and hoping to get that BFP this month.
