Hello

My LO started crawling this week and is now everywhere. Tonight she scalded her hand touching the radiator pipe!! Is there anything on the market that can cover them? I have just wrapped a nappy around it for now!

Thanks.

Sorry to hear your LO scalded her hand. :hugs: I never even thought of radiator pipes as a hazard :dohh:, so I'm glad I know now. I don't know if there is anything on the market that is used particularly to cover radiator pipes so that our LO's can't scald themselves, but could you perhaps use pipe cladding (I think that is what it's called)???? Do you know what I mean? The spongy pipe covers that are usually used for Insulation. They don't get hot themselves but cover the pipes?

radiator covers are quite handy such as these:

If its a straight pipe try this

Its pipe insolator you can get from any DIY are hardware shop and just slips over pipes, I use it for covering the edges of his changing table and sharp edges to stop him banging his head on them.

Oh I have these on my radiators so I don't have to worry so much! :)

I'd try getting some foam that bends (like what Smokey has suggested!) and wrapping that all around! Ouchhhyyy poor LO :hugs: x

That's what I was on about! Pics help :D

I would recommend turning down the temperature on your boiler a bit. Our radiators easily warm the house but would certainly not burn LO. You will also save money on heating costs.

I just wanted to mention a little PSA (public service announcement, if you will) about the foamy covers. We had one of those to cover a metal handle on one of DS's toys when he was about 7 months and had to take it away because he kept biting off chunks of the polystyrene and swallowing them. So, if you do go with that sort of option, then keep a super super close eye on any contact your LO makes with it, hehe.
