Hi Ladies,

I just got my BFP a few days ago after having a miscarriage June 4th. Now I am thrilled to be pregnant again but also SOOOO scared. I already have a 1.5 year old so know that I can in fact carry to term....but am worried to lose this baby like the last. I have an early ultrasound scheduled for August 24th (my 6 week mark). But I am getting concerned because I don't really have any prego symptoms, my boobs are a bit achy to the touch in my armpit area, but that is it. No sickness no adversions to smells or foods. What do you ladies think? How long did it take to get symptoms, are they even necessary? I just have so many worries!!!

Congratulations I just had slightly achy bbs at first and mild af style cramps - nausea came on I guess around 5-6 weeks.

Congratulations - symptoms can take time to appear and can be different for everyone - also I work with a lady who had no symptoms at all (apart from a bump later on) and who is Mum to a perfectly healthy 12 yr old boy.

Thanks guys!! I am just a nervous wreck! I think the thing that is getting me the most is that I still have cramps! But I have had them since the miscarriage...not sure why...I wasn't far along when I miscarried (only 7 weeks) so I wouldn't think that things would need to do much to get back to normal!! Guess time will tell if this one sticks

I have joined here as I had a MC on July 1st and I just got my BFP(well after taking 7 tests as I can not quite believe it

Like your self I know I can carry full term as I have a DD who is 18 months old

I have stared to get tender boobies and feeling even more tired then I do but that is about it so far.

Wow our situations sound a lot alike!!! Did you have cramping after your m/c or do you have any now? I know what you mean I couldn't believe my tests either!!! This was our first cycle of trying after the m/c. My bbs are a bit tender, but only in the armpit area and only if I push on them (does that make sense?), I am just ready to get an ultrasound! Are you getting an early one done as well?

Hey Mommy2lexi! Congrats! Don't worry, I think it's normal not to have much in the way of symptoms at 4wks. I started getting them at maybe 5 weeks? Other than exhaustion... Good luck!

Hi Mummy2lexi! Congrats on your BFP!!! I got mine as well- VERY late- 15 DPO!!!
No symptoms here either....the only reason I took a test was because I realized I had not started. Usually I have sore boobs and this time around- nothing!

Do you have any symptoms now? I am just so worried about m/c again...trying to remain positive and not drive myself crazy!!!

I have absolutely NO symptoms. I am also fighting shingles/chickenpox right now so I am not sure if my body is just so concentrated on that or what. It's very weird. In all my pregnancies I have had sore boobs from about a week after ovulation- that's how I always knew when I was pregnant. I am praying everything is ok this time, but it's hard to think that. Especially since I am having to take so many meds for this crap I have
Any symptoms for you?

Oh no...sorry about the shingles.... I bet your body is just focusing on fighting that off!

I have kinda sore bbs, but mainly just a tiny tender to push on them (if that makes sense?) and only in the armpit area. I have cramps, but have had them nearly every day since my m/c two months ago (which worries me)...but other than that..nothing. No morning sickness....I think I am the only pregnant woman who WANTS morning sickness, it would just make me feel prego and like this little bean has a chance!

I have an early u/s on the 24th at 6 weeks....are you getting an early one done?

I am wishing for morning sickness too! The only time I have ever had it was with the pregnancy that lasted the longest- my first one! So I am looking forward to that day that I am throwing chunks! (sorry- gross)
They are doing an ultrasound Monday but it's only that early because I have had an ectopic pregnancy so they have to monitor me closely when I'm pregnant. Are you having any bloodwork done?

LOL...I know I feel the same way! With my daughter I was sick from the word go all the way through labor and delivery! W/ the m/c at 7 weeks I still had NO symptoms or morning sickness. I can't wait for it to start!!

That is great that they are going to monitor you so closely. I haven't had any bloodwork done....I asked about getting some done as well as a progesterone level (only b/c I read on this forum about that causing m/c?) but they said it's not necessary if I want it I can get it but having only had one m/c it's up to me. I know it may be silly but for now I just decided to wait it out until the u.s. I just can't handle the added on stress of waiting on labs. I haven't had any spotting, with the m/c I did right away so I am just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping to see a miracle on the 24th! What about you? Did you get labs done?

I wouldn't put myself through it either if I were you. With just one mc, I'm sure this pregnancy will be wonderful for you!
They are monitoring my bloods to due to the ectopic. If I hadn't had that ectopic, I wouldn't go to the doctor til I'm about 2 months pregnant! It's just too much stress! Wondering, waiting to know if you will see anything on the U/S or will the bloods come back ok. Just too much sometimes! I had my first bloods done Thursday and now I have to wait til Monday for the 2nd round to see if this is a viable pregnancy That is a looooong time for me!

Exactly....I am hoping and praying this one sticks....

But it's just not worth the stress for me! The 2ww was hard...now I have to wait until the 24th...and that will be hard...no need to add more to it! I am glad you understand...a lot of people as soon as I found out I was pg were pushing for tests. As long as there is no blood I WILL remain calm (or try to LOL!). And even at the u/s I know 6 weeks is still early to possibly see a heartbeat...but I am hoping. After that I will totally relax and try and enjoy the ride. This will be our 2nd and last as two is all we want

On your labs are they checking for the HCG to double? So on monday you have the second labs and an ultrasound? Please let me know how it goes!! Everything is crossed for you!! No one should have to go through all those losses like you have....I really hope this one sticks!!! Try and have a good weekend and fill me in on Monday!!!

I did a test not because I was late (wasn't even close for an average 38 day cycle), wasn't feeling sick or have sore anything but I had become a complete monster! My partner went to visit his dad and the phone calls/texts??? Well, he was pretty sure he was going to come home and find his belongings as a bonfire on the front lawn!
