I have a uterine anomaly called Uterus Didelyphis. It means I have two completely seperate uteri. I also have two cervixes. People with this anomaly usually have two uteri, two cervixes, two vagina's, and one kidney. Fortunately I don't have the last two ... cause having two vaginas just seems really odd to me, lol. I am also RH negative. I got married when I was 21, we tried and tried to have a baby. I had too many chemical pregnancies and early miscarriges to count. They eventually told me there was no chance I would ever have a child. It pretty much drove us apart and we divorced in 2006. I met my DF in 2008, 5 months after we met and the first cycle we didnt use contraception (since I was infertile) I had a positive pregnancy test followed by an early miscarrige 3 days later. 4 weeks after that I ended up in the hospital with a kidney stone and surprise I was 5 1/2 weeks pregnant. Which means I had a miscarrige in one uterus and was already in the pregnancy process in the other. Crazy right. Recently someone with the same thing I have delivered two babies two months apart by two different fathers (one was black and one was white). LOL. Anyway, the pregnancy stuck and my son was born in August of 09. I carried him on my left side (I was totally lopsided). He ran out of space and came early at 32 weeks, he spent 24 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care unit. Now, we are trying for #2. We are in our 3rd cycle ... The first was not preventing and the following two we were actively trying. Hopeful that it's as quick as its was with DS and not the 8 years prior. Im currently on CD 25 of a 26-28 day cycle (ovulation occured on CD 13) so im 12 dpo. Really hoping for a BFP this month.

Anyone else have difficulty conceiving? What's the reason? How long have you been TTC? What's your story?

FX for everyone in the 2WW, hoping for all your BFP's!

We've been trying for our second for 15 months but I have no idea what's wrong yet!

Fingers crossed for you x

Hope your testing goes well. Fingers crossed for a BFP for you.

We have been trying properly for just over 9 mths....before that NTNP for 9 mths and still no BFP.... OH recently had a SA and he only has 10% motile sperm with 90% abnormal forms.....so we know the reason why its not happening, went to the GP last night as OH changed to mine as his was useless to say the least!!!! All his GP said was...and these were his words 'you're not firing blanks' & 'it only takes one'.....anyway the GP we saw last night is referring us to a Fertility Specialist so maybe it can happen.

Mozz x

thats a very insperational story charliesmommy, its truely amazing amd ur little fella is gorgeous.me and dh have been ttc #1 for 15 months now,im waiting to be refered to fs.so far ive had my cd3 and cd21 blood test done which was fine and dh has had sa done where everything was fine apaert from morphology was low at 9.5% but his doctor thinks that also fine so im hoping its just one of those things and more tests wont show anything bad with me.this months ive had so many symptoms that im starting to think im imagining them,my 2ww has never felt so long.

the reason why it takes so long for me is i have anovulatory months every other month and ovulate the months in between. so out of my cycles i only ovulate on half of them. xxx

I_want_one - Thank you, he is the light of my life. Hoping the testing goes well for you and you have your own sweet little one soon!

Loola - Is this an ovulation month. Can they give you medicine to make you ovulate every month?

We've been ttc No 2 for 17 months. Had some tests - all seems fine with both of us but nothing happening. I am 40, he is 41. Trying not to get down about it but some months easier than others. Wonder if it will ever happen though. Tried CBFM, tried OPKs, tried everything. Think stopping 'trying' so hard might help?
Oh, and my ferritin level is really low so apparently than can interfere with conception. Been on iron tabs for 3 months now. Hoping that will help.
Good luck to us all xxx

Minno - My sister in-law is 39 and she was not trying but not preventing for 5 years and then trying for over a year, when she went to be checked the doctor told her she has "old eggs". She's on her 2nd cycle of IVF right now. So at least you don't have that problem :) Good Luck for BFP.

Maybe Clomid? I also read there's a diabetes medicine that starts with a G (I can't remember what it was ... but its supposed to work better than clomid.

Thanks CharliesMommy. I am relieved there's nothing obvious wrong. I'm a young 40 year old lol!! Reasonably fit and look after myself. Had son at age 32. Not sure why its taking so long - maybe its just not meant to be. Desperate for a brother or sister for my little one thought. Hoping these iron tabs do the trick but every month think I can tell around day 16/17 thats its a bust :( Also.. and sorry if TMI...get breakthru quite a bit around ov or if exercise around this time, not sure why. Think I should stop exercising bet days 10-15?

Minno- You could always try the soft cups method ... Although im kinda grossed out by the idea of it, lol but then it seems the benefits outweigh the gross factor. I do know that women who have already had a child don't have fertility issues related to age, like someone who is trying for their first child. How long have you been taking the Iron? Are you taking prenatal vitamins? I have heard that they help. Im so sorry that you have had to endure that heartbreak every month, its awful. Im so impatient, I think that im going to give it a couple months and then im going to look into fertility drugs myself ... I think I should be a candidate! Also, I know that over excercising can cause a woman not to ovulate and sometimes to completely miss one or consecutive cycles. I decided that I wanted to lose weight years ago and my cycles completely stopped for almost a year.

Your story was very inspirational! There's hope for us all! My story: DH and I were actively trying on and off for 4 years. Finally last year I went to the dr for the problem, he did a blood test and said I hadn't been ovulating. I had an appointment to go back in 2 weeks to discuss everything when my pap results came back abnormal...and I had HPV. Long story short, after surgery where they took all the bad cells off my cervix, we finally got the go ahead to try again. We got a BFP the next month, only to lose it a week and a half later. Now, we're in the game again, just *patiently* waiting . . .

wow what a great POST! :flower:
I didnt read all the posts yet. But I will. I am curently TTC #2 for 3 months I know its nothing I took for granted how fast concieving my dd was 2 monhts. as of right now there is nothing wrong with me. the end of the summer dh said he will get a SA done. If I get PG before then I will be gratful but untill then we will just keep trying. I have a normal 30/31 day cycle. I had a chemical pregnancy last year in may. thats my story
good luck to everyone and god bless it will happen...:flower:

DTor25 - *Patiently* so you mean obsessing every waking minute of every day :) So glad you got it worked out and hoping for your BFP very soon!

SNL41256 - Yay for a clean fertility bill. Sounds like we are in the same boat. My 5 year old step-daughter wants a little sister. What part of NY? My mom is from Schnectady and I used to live just outside NY in Jersey City.

jersey city wow my mom was born there. small world lol i live in staten island. yes my 3 yr old daughter is dying for a sister. visiting my MIL at the hospital yesterday I took her to the nursery she said which one can we take home mommy :cloud9: i said soon mama soon :cloud9:

Aaw that is so precious. Don't you just love how naive and innocent they are ... SD told me one time that Mommy picked her out and Daddy just took pictures lol. She said she loves her little brother but she really wants a sister, she wanted to know if she could go with us to pick her out. She said she would take the pictures so daddy could help me pick. It is a small world. A baby story is filmed in NY/NJ right?
