Recurrent Miscarriage Thread

Hi ladies,

I've got my RPL consultant appointment on Thursday but I picked up my blood test results from the GP to take with me today and saw:

FSH - 9
LH - 5

After a quick google, it looks like I'm on the verge of ovarian demise and I just want to cry. I thought I might have pcos given my symptoms but the ratio is the wrong way round for that......any hope?

Mine were very similar numbers at the age of 32. I've been pregnant 9 times since then (and coincidentally on that very cycle I was tested on) two of those 9 have been successful. I stim up fine on clomid, so my ovaries can't be that bad, can they? I'm 37 now and don't even want to know what my numbers are now lol. Hope your appt went ok.

ladies I now have a fab supply of 400 mg progesterone, so think ovulation is today judging by my chart when do I start taking the progesterone again?

I started at 3dpo on this cycle, just so I was sure I had deffo ovulated :flower: it was my first cycle taking it experimentally after ov rather than after BFP.

thank dan o im a bit nervous as its not prescribed but ive heard lots of doctors abroad just give it out as a precaution.

I only took it from bfp, but I've heard of lots of ladies taking it from o

Same here Kelly. Mine was left over from the last mc, so I thought why not lol x
I've since managed to get it on repeat from the gp after much blagging :haha:

Hi ladies, I am new to this area and looking for advice. I just suffered from my third loss and I am going through the RPL testing. Is there somewhere that has information on this? I am looking for info about how often it identifies problems or more info about the actual tests, what ever I can find.

I tried searching online and didn't really find the info I'm looking for.

LPF low AMH can also show because of vitamin D deficiency...have you checked that out?

TTC first, if you're looking for a proper read, try Lesley Regan's book:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/07...200_QL40&qid=1406327339&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1

She doesn't believe in NKcell treatment (which is what gave me my son) but she does give a fairly good overview on most other testing and what are the most likely culprits, treatment success rates etc.

Kelly, I take progesterone once I know I have ovulated (I temp), so from 2-3dpo. You don't want to take it too early as it can mess with ovulation, but it is worth taking before the bfp stage to help get a juicy lining for an embryo to implant in.

Thanks petitpas, I will definitely read anything I can get my hands on.

I am hoping that someone can help me understand a little more about the RPL Testing. I did a bunch of testing for blood clotting disorders and the karyotyping for myself, DH, and the baby we lost. The tests for blood clotting and the karyotyping on the baby we lost is due back next week, the karyotyping on DH and I may take several months.

My question is this. Does anyone know if the karyotyping comes back normal on the baby we lost, would that mean that ours "should" be normal too? I just hate that that testing for our karyotyping will take so long so if the karyotyping on the baby can give us a hint at our results that would help.

Hi all. I've been taking break from forums and social media so I have lots of catching up to do. It saddens me to see so many new names on returning here though.
It may take me a while to read back and catch up.

Hope, you know that you are constantly in my thoughts, I hope you received my card, hugs to you my lovely xx

Oh Kelly i completely forgot to send you mine

I put them all in tea bag box along with ovulation and pregnancy sticks i thought i didnt need any more

Maybe my subconscious kept making me forget because i would need them sooner than i thought

Sorry hun but glad you have some sorted

xx

Hi Hope39.

I usually take my progesterone the day after ovulation but I tend to do an IUI and trigger so I am positive about my O. If I were you I would most likely wait a day or two just to be sure that it doesn't interfere with my O. But that's just me, not sure if that's being to cautious.

Hi everyone

I just dropped in for a little catch up on you all, sorry to see so many new faces here

I will keep lurking from time to time, i dont think i will be posting too much

I am obviously taking another break from ttc, this is my 3rd break in 4 years now :( Not sure when to try again, probably in the new year, i think i will ignore my midwife wait of a year but i will see what the obstetrician also says and maybe drop my rmc consultant a call and try and get another hysto

Im just about to send off for a copy of my hospital file to see if that can hold any answers. We have the paramedic report which only shows the ambulance took 20 mins to get here and then another 30 min to get the hospital. i thought they had took longer than that, this means i was at the hospital for 1hr 50m before isaac was delivered by c sect. To me that seems a long time for someone that is clearly hemorrhaging. Ive wrote down what i can remember happened that day and in what order and i dont know how it all took so long

I have to chase up an appt with isaac doctor as we have a few questions for him that will then lead to lots of questions for the obstetrician, then i be meeting with the ambulance service

Apparently we have a Child Death Overview Panel these days that by law investigate every childs death to see if anything in the future can be done to prevent the same happening again. Im quite pleased about this and am hoping that they find something, if they do find the hospital are at fault then im not quite sure what our next step would be.

Im still rooting for you all to get your bfp's :) xx

hi hope I think you are the bravest lady I know just to come on here and still answer other peoples questions you are one of a kind, I really hope and prey you get some answers and please don't worry about the progesterone gee think of your self and whats right for you xxxxxxxxx

In my experience I dot think so. It works both ways. you could have an issue with your genes and a perfectly healthy baby and you could also have no issue with your genes and have a baby with a chromosome issue. I hope that helps

My heart and prayers are with you hon. You are strong and I hope you get through this ok.

Hello Hope, how nice of you to pop in! That's good that there is an independent review panel, which is also looking into this. It shouldn't be up to the parents to do all the legwork (although if I was in your position I would be checking everything myself, too). I hope they can give you some kind of answer so you know what to do next. Otherwise, how are you healing from the section? I've heard crash sections can really take it out of you :hugs:
Still thinking of you loads, honey :hugs:
