Recurrent Miscarriage Thread

One thing to come out of all this sadness cutie, is that this is a wonderful supportive thread, some of these girls I've known for years now and they are like sisters to me, I love them so much.

Hope omg lol. I'm glad you're doing relatively okay.

I'm ovulating and I had a dream about a bring home baby last night. Hope it's a sign x

I love you more

When i asked the obstetrician how long i had to wait, i gave her daggers and told her she wasnt allowed to say i had to wait a year :headspin:

So she said 6 months :wohoo: Thats just over 2 months away :happydance:

We always get a bfp together so hang on in there for a few more months unless your dreams come true quicker and maybe, just maybe, we will leave this thread together :hugs:

Cant believe im talking about ttc, that seemed such a long way away not that long ago

xx

Cutieq- I thought progesterone was day 1 and day 22?

Tasha - here's hoping that was lucky. I saw a fabulous rainbow today as well!

After meeting up with one of the ladies from this thread today, I am going to contact my doctor and try for progesterone testing. Also adding 75mg aspirin to my daily vitamin stock (800ug folic acid, Pregnacare complete, 250mg cod liver oil, and 20ug vitamin d.

I am also going to my gp to see about progesterone - the rmc nurse thinks "there may be something in it" because I made it further with the pregnancy which I conceived whilst on the POP.

We are ttc again in 5 weeks so really want to get everything sorted now as I have no folic acid stores because of the methotrexate, so if there is anything else you ladies can recommend then I would be really grateful!

one of my friends from this thread met a B&b girl today too...... she seen a rainbow on her way......

Are you right up north, lol xx

xx

Thanks girls.

Sounds like you have a good plan loey.

Not even possible for you to love me more Hope. Mwah.

Hahaha, I instantly thought so that's who L was seeing :haha: they both saw rainbows too.

It is coming around so quickly. I would really like to have a bfp this cycle, but it would be lovely to share that with you too x

You so deserve a bfp this cycle hun :) I will hopefully only be a few cycles behind you xx

Think i might be in for a long night................:dog::dog:

did i tell you we have pups due !!

Rookie progesterone question... I will be 5DPO and CD22. When can the doctor do the progesterone testing?

Also, very rookie, but do I need to ask or say anything special or just tell him I've had 3 losses before 5 weeks and I want to check progesterone?

This is a new doctor, so I'm afraid they'll want to start from scratch, but I don't want to waste a cycle and want this tested ASAP. My other doc checked for everything except progesterone...didn't believe in it.

CD21 is when they test in uk x

Rats...I will bd cd22. I might have to fib lol

do you know when you ovulated? 7dpo is a good indicator too as most have a 28 day cycle so 7dpo is same as cd21 xx

Hahaha, that is cute. I want them cute dogs.

Oh do you? It will be lovely to have them to focus on but hard to give them away I imagine?

When they say cd21 they just mean 7dpo but that's the day people are 7dpo if they have 28 day cycles. Cd 21 would be pointless for me as I ovulate about then. Regardless I wouldn't lie about it as even a day could make a difference to the result

Yep. I will be 5dpo when I go to the appointment. My cycles are 31 days.

Got it. Thanks ladies!

its sort of hard when they leave, sometimes i cant wait for the little buggars to go. depends how i am emotionally at the time more often than not, pmsl x

You should be able to arrange it for two days later then

 at you cant wait, are they hard work? I've never had a dog

 at you cant wait, are they hard work? I've never had a dog

Having a litter of pups is hard work, if the litter is 7 or below, every two hours we are up to make sure they are feeding, if the litter is 8 or more then we split them into two litters and get up every hour to make sure they are feeding, we do this for about two weeks then between weeks 2-4, we get a little bit more sleep, not much though.

one of us will sleep with mum and pups till they are 3.5-4 weeks old to make sure they dont get squished . I got out of the night shift last time as i was expecting isaac, i didnt have to clean up 1 poo!

A puppy itself is quite hard work initially, they whine in the night, no different to a baby i suppose, getting it toilet trained etc is time consuming. once they are about a year old they have calmed down a lot more. my dogs are 5&7 now so sleep most of the day, they just follow us round and go wherever we are. xx

Sounds exhausting. I could never do all that.

Cutie, speak to your doctor but even though I had the day 3/21 test in the past I don't know whether that is indicative for progesterone levels in pregnancy. You would have to get tested again in pregnancy. Even then, if there is an issue that could be because the pregnancy is failing anyway... What I'm trying to say is that if you want to take the belt and braces approach just ask for the meds.

Somebody mentioned on here that they are taking cod liver oil... I just thought I'd point out that it is not recommended to take in pregnancy due to the high levels of vitamin A that can be harmful to a foetus. You could take omega 3 instead. Pregnacare have a product, which offers pregnancy vitamins and omega 3 capsules in one packet (pregnacare plus). That's the kind of product to be looking for.
There has also been a link shown between vitamin D deficiency and miscarriages so a vitamin D supplement wouldn't harm, either.

Lovely rainbows here, too, recently :cloud9:

Morning ladies, how is everyone feeling today?

Going to start harassing my gp today, want her to A) fit me a coil B) refer me to "the specialist" everyone keeps going on about & C) have a look at my surgery incisions, cos no one else has.

Also started my exercise stuff today. Might have pushed it will a 3 mile walk, but I've piled sooooo much weight on! ):

Great advice...will do! My appointment is tomorrow. Hooray!

Is the specialist Mr Shehata? Its worth the drive to see him!!

Any particular reason you want a coil or just to prevent you from conceiving?

Think i might go for a walk later, im considering walking 27 miles to raise funds for Isaac Lucas fund xx

Ooo a busy day for you then. Enjoy!

I don't know, I'm in Yorkshire so I wouldn't have thought so, it's a woman Dr I think. Gotta see the gp for more info cos hosp were pretty useless.

I don't want to conceive again, not for a long time. I need to properly recover from this horrible horrible year.

Wow go you! I'd be dead if I walked that far xx
