Recurrent Miscarriage Thread

That's interesting pinkpassion! I also am usually on the low side of normal blood pressure. Did you take any baby aspirin for any of your lost pregnancies? I am considering taking it whether I get my results back or not. I wonder if we had "pre" pre-eclampsia. My daughter was born a little small too (6lbs12oz) and I almost miscarried her at 13 weeks. Was your first pregnancy normal other than the swelling and high blood pressure?
Im so sorry youve had to go through 4 losses. Im really hoping to convince them to test me before I have any more. May we both get our sticky beans soon. And yes, please keep us posted as to the results!

No, I've never taken any baby aspirin. I'm hoping for answers with all this testing !!! I had quite a few issues with my dd pregnancy, with lots of contractions and placental lakes, which they said are pretty normal .. but I'm just thankful she's here, she's a miracle for sure !!!! I hope you get testing too. Having to go through another loss has been awful!!!

Are you team yellow Hope?
How are you doing being in hospital now? Hope the staff are being nice to you now!

Yep I'm team yellow and still in hospital

Very sad today as the girl I made friends with and spent the last 5 weeks with had her little boy yday at 32w and he didn't make it, he was really poorly with under developed lungs. So gutted for her x

Omg, hope, that's so sad!!!!! I'm so sorry!! It seems like 32 weekers seem to have high odds so that's really heartbreaking!!!

Oh how sad! Sending hugs to both you and your friend, hope.

Laughingduck-I am on baby aspirin when pg. I was initially prescribed it in case I had a clotting issue but my dr thought that my problem at the time was more a progesterone deficiency so it was just an afterthought really. However, in more recent years, we've seen some things with me that make us all wonder what's going on. I have first tri bleeds and I've m/c at least once partially due to a clot. My uncle was also just diagnosed with APS and even though I was tested a few years ago, I may ask to be retested since APS is autoimmune and I could have gotten it since. Either way, we're adding lovenox to my treatment plan because it's highly likely I have a clotting issue even though we don't know what it is yet.

She had no waters at her 20w scan, they had built up a bit by 25w but they kept going and replenishing His lungs were that of a 20w gestation baby,
he needed the amniotic waters for his lungs to develop

Not even the consultants or midwifes were expecting that to happen, they all thought he would be ok just needed 5-7 weeks in nicu, he passed away within hours

xx

That's so sad, I definitely understand... I know how important it is for the amniotic fluid!!

Hope that is so sad. Life can be so cruel.

You haven't got long now. Am I right in thinking you are delivering early?

Well I managed to convince my doc to do a thyroid panel and test for antiphospholipid syndrome. She said to do any other hormone testing we have to wait until I have a normal period (she says the miscarriage doesnt count) so that we know where we are in my cycle. Here's hoping we get some answers! A bit bummed I have to wait another cycle, but at the same time I didnt get pregnant the cycle after my last mc and never got a positive opk either, so I may be one of those anovulatory after miscarriage people...

I've got roughly 3wks left , I've not told anyone my exact c sect day as it will probably change, they seem to have a lot of emergencies at this hospital :(

Xx

How exciting Hope! Is this your first? Care to share your story with this newbie? Im assuming you had some losses if you are postimg in this thread. I always love hearing people's success stories!

Laughingduck, my dr said I had to wait also, because hcg can cause false positives and falsely elevated numbers ... it has been absolute hell waiting but finally this Friday I start all my testing!!! It's been 6 weeks now.. I should have been 16 weeks already.. it makes me sad!!!

Sorry for your friends loss Hope, that's heartbreaking. :hugs:
3 weeks, that's great. Won't be long now until you are snuggling your rainbow baby x

I know what you mean. My first I was due in January, then a couple weeks ago my cousin announces she is pregnant and due in January. I was so happy for her but sad for myself. When I found out I was still pregnant and due in April this time though, so thought oh well, I have my rainbow now! I really felt good about his one, I "knew" it was going to stick around. Then I lost that one too. Today is my dad's 70th bday and I was so excited to tell him he was going to be a grandpa again, but now I cant :(. Anyway, little pity party for myself, I hope to get my sticky rainbow soon.

Waiting is the worst. I was under doctor's orders to wait at least 3 cycles this time because I not only m/c back to back and he suspected hyperfertility was the cause (in essence I caught eggs that normally shouldn't/wouldn't have fertilized), but my last m/c was twins and the loss was different than my others physically. He wanted to make sure my uterus and hormones were back to normal before we tried again. I decided to take advantage of this waiting time and focussed on myself for a bit in an effort to not only get healthier but also keep my mind off of the waiting and help pass the time. I started an intense workout program called P90X and I'm loving it. Having something to keep me occupied has helped immensely. I'm still not able to ttc quite yet (need to meet with my dr and possibly have a bit more testing/retesting done) but as hard as it is to wait, it's also nice having this break too.

Sorry for your friend's little one Hope, that's heartbreaking. Glad you only have a few weeks to go, hope hospital is not driving you too crazy.

Dairy :hugs:

I had 6 first TRI missed mc, then a placental abruption at 27w and lost isaac 3 days later in nicu and this pregnancy is no8, my first take home baby hopefully

I was diagnosed with thyroid antibodies and hypothyroidism after my 3rd mc, after my 6th mc I was diagnosed with a septate uterus , elevated Nk cells and ureaplasma . I had septum surgery, treated the ureaplasma with antibiotics and took steroids for the NK cells for isaac pregnancy . This pregnancy we added in hydroxycloroquine (malaria drug) x
