What colour are your ladies maternity notes in as i dunno if its different in all areas but they officaly changed our colour of books from red to yellow ment to be new for 2018 but i got one it looks far more happy and gender nutual xx

As far as I’m aware ours are still green. But I haven’t been pregnant since 2014 so they may of changed it!

I have no idea what these books are- can someone explain? I'm in America so not sure if this is something from a different country?

They’re your pregnancy notes jwc. So they just carry all your information from the midwives, scans, blood results etc. You take them to every appointment xx

My maternity notes here (Central Scotland) are blue but the kids get a red book when they are born to track centiles etc. It's been 7 years since I had a baby though so it may have changed!

Interesting. Yeah we don't have anything like that here in America.

We don't get notes now, it's all computerised so nothing to carry around (Lanarkshire, Scotland)

Really? I'm in Lanarkshire too and I got notes when I was pregnant. My daughter is 2 now. Do you not get the red book now either?

In America we don't carry notes. We see our normal OBGYN Dr when we get pregnant and always see them for all of our appointments so everything is electronic and stored in their system. OBGYN practices partner with a hospital and so the Dr office and the hospital shares all notes electronically so there is nothing for us to carry around.

My maternity book is green (same as it was with my son 6 years ago) and when baby is born the book is still red

I’ve just got my maternity notes now. Different than my last pregnancy. The book is white with mostly green pages but a few yellow and purple pages at the end. It’s so sad I’m really excited about these :haha:

Loeylo it must be quite new, I'm north. I had notes back in 2014 but this year it's on the system....they refer to it as The Badger! I'm not kidding! You get a username and password and can log in to see all your info/test results etc. logs all your appointments too so when I went for a scan at the hospital then knew when I was next due the MW.

Don't know about the kids red book, still got them for ds1 &2 xx

We are in south but I think for NHS south and north are in together? Online is probably better, mine were really dog eared because I was seeing my normal midwife, a specialist team at wishaw general, I had weekly monitoring in hairmyres and saw a consultant in Hamilton every few weeks. Come to think of it, my midwife did say something about them becoming electronic but I don't know what they do with all the recordings from the CTG machines etc? My folder was in a ring binder by the end 😂
