12 week old baby

currently feeds at 7, 930, 12, 3, 6, 8 and then sleeps all night

all feeds bf except one which i give formula to suit my day

want to change to 7/10/1/4/7

reckon it will work??

The original feeding routine appears pretty normal to me. Do babies not still need 6-8 feeds a day at that age (as apposed to 8-10 when younger)? I'd have thought that if your baby is sleeping through and not feeding overnight then really he/she needs those feeds that it is asking for until it asks for less.

Never know until you try, if baby can't wait that long for a feed then just feed them whenever they need it!

5 feeds a day seems too few at that age, it should still be 8 minimum typically. How is your babies weight gain ?

very good weight gain - don't think any of my babies ate 8 times a day at this stage

My lo is 5 months and still feeds every 2 hours day and night. I'd say if lo is sleeping through, I wouldn't make any drastic changes. If you really want to reduce the feeds, you could gradually move the feeds a but later. Start by doing the 9.30 at 9.45, 12 at 12.15 etc, and over a couple if weeks keep pushing them back?
