Reusing an HPT?

AF is a week late and I just did an HPT. On the first attempt the test didn’t work. There was no control line and the strip didn’t change colour to show that the urine had moved along it. I didn’t have another test so I just peed again on the same stick and got a BFP. I’m thinking first time I maybe missed the stick or didn’t get enough urine on there. Has this happened to anyone before?

Hiya.

I'm just over 6 weeks pregnant but where I live they don't do blood HCG levels or early scans so I've been testing just to make sure that line is still nice and strong.
Anyway one of my tests didn't work so I 're dipped it in my pee again and it came up strong positive just like all the others.
Hope this helps.
To be sure just do another test. But I'm pretty sure it will still be a BFP.
