Rice pudding - what kind of milk to use?

Since DS is 10 months old, I know that it's a NO to use cow's milk, so I want to make for him rice pudding, but I was wondering, should I use formula? can I boil it? Some resources state that boiled cow's milk at this age is fine.

Can someone help me here?

Cow's milk is fine for use in cooking from 6m, but shouldn't be their main drink until after 12 months. (That's the recommendation in the UK anyway!)
