Rubbing your bump

I rub my bump a lot, sometimes I don't even realise I'm doing it lol! I have to rub my bump when I'm walking and get a stitch to try and ease it. I rub my bump when he's wriggling around hehe! I love it.
Rub away hun! :D xx

I do it allllll the time! :) She will even push up against my hand if she is awake... LOVE IT!

I'm with Madasa on this one - a newborn is GOING to be reliant on you, they're not born as toddlers or even as a 5 year old child but a helpless baby for goodness sake! And you can't spoil a newborn either by holding them too much, ignore her - she's talking absolute twoddle and be prepared for more of the same after your baby is born by the sound of it!

I rub my bump all the time, it's heavy and sore at times and sometimes the movements are quite ouchy! So yep, another one here who rubs lots too!

She's talking crap! Ignore her and rub your bump to your hearts content, sure the baby will find it a comfort if anything as once born if you spent a lot of time rubbing baby's back in utero then baby may find it a comfort in the real world if you rub his back.

Only bad thing I can think of is if you were poking and prodding your bump rather than rubbing it then baby would get annoyed and kick and poke you back!

It does however annoy the hell out of me when you see pictures of famous people such as Denise Van Outen clutching their bumps like they will fall off if they don't hang on to the top and bottom of them at all times and grin like a loon

oh my goodnes,, no way!

I rub my bump constantly, so much so, that every single top and dress i wear have all gone bobbly on my belly where i rub her so much!

you cant cuddle or spoil a baby enough when theyre little...it must be lonely in our bellys, they like being rubbed! x

I see nothing wrong with rubbing your bump!! I do it alot....but I kinda do this rocking motion the most. We're just preparing for our lil ones!! :)

It was a very detached generation I think.... still going "grow that baby up! he needs to learn to be independant!" yadayadayada. And the same generation mutter and shake their heads and go, "huh, the youth of today..." I'n sure I'm not the only one suspecting a connection....

MIL comments have been very much you must do this and you mustn't do that blah blah, she has had and raised her children so i just want her to let me raise mine.

I love rubbing my belly and love BF doing it to so NUR to you MIL lol
