Can anyone suggest any safe household cleaning products (either brands or how to make any from day to day items) please?

I'm just bwgining to babyproof house and am becoming worried about how dangerous some regular cleaning products can be and am looking for more natural, safer alternatives.

Thanks

I think the Ecover stuff is pretty natural - you can buy this in Tesco.

For my l.o's clothes I use surcare because there is no perfume at all and for cleaning bubsafe products.

Baking soda and vinegar will clean most anything.

There is a brand called method.. Its non toxic.. They do different kinds of cleaning solutions for different things

I'd avoid anti bacterial stuff, or anything with added bleach and even bleach itself, as these can be the most lethal. There are other hygeine measures that can be taken that are better than anti bacterial cleaners, such as washing surfaces with very hot water and drying them thoroughly, and taking utmost care not to transfer germs from surfaces used to prepare raw meat onto anywhere else. I've trained my boys not to go anywhere near the cleaning stuff cupboard and until they are old enough to understand that I keep the gate on the kitchen and have it closed at all times (and our gate has two mechanisms on so they are pretty old before they can get in it) xx

I use all natural products that are designed for familys with kids and those who wish to live long health lives. The ingredients are powered by nature and are more effective than the leading grocery store brands. Let me know if your interested in learning more about the company

like others have said, hot water, white vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, soap nuts, you can wash everything with this lot and they do a great job.
since getting pregnant last year i cut out one cleaning product after the other and replaced it with one or 2 or 3 of these! very happy i discovered i could do this, cuz before it felt like there was no alternative and it was normal to wash with what the adverts tell you to. but they're just in it for the money, never mind the effect on us and the environment

https://www.soapnuts.co.uk/ you can get free sample of soap nuts here

hope ya find them interesting : ]

I like to add some vinegar and baking soda into hot water and then clean things with that water. The cleaning items will become sparking clean afterward.
