Hi guys!
I have the above playard with the bassinet peice that clips on so the baby is higher up! I will be using this for the first couple months before the crib

My concern is the playard mattress seemed kinda puffy in the middle I guess due to the fabric being layed over the board

So I bought an organic mattress cover for playards and then put my sheet

It looks much better but is still a tad poofy like not a huge bubble but if I push In it it's like a little pocket of air

Im almost certain onces the LO is on it it will flatten it but I'm all paranoid about the little poof and will it be a suffocation hazzard

What do u guys thing? Anyone have this issue and any suggestions to get it to lay flatter? I checked my friends and the ones in the store and they all do this. I guess because they fold up for storing and it makes creases in the fabric

I have a pack n play with the bassinet also. I havent noticed mine doing this. I think mine is made by graco though. When the baby is born, I will be keeping this by the bed.

I have the Bright Starts Ingenuity playyard and bassinet but haven't assembled it yet. We got it because it can be slightly inclined for baby sleeping. I havent' thought about putting a mattress cover on it but I'm not sure they're meant for that? At least, I know you are not meant to put mattress pads or mattresses in them...maybe mattress covers are okay.

Some of the review of mine say there is a slight 'dip' in the bassinet, is that the kind of thing you're talking about? Sorry I'm not much help because I'm also worried I won't be satisfied with the firmness of the bassinet but that's what we're using for a few months.
