As lo's daddy (we are trying to work things out) has lost his job. It was the end of his 3 month trial yesterday and despite being told the trial was a formality, head office have said no to anymore staff.

By time our bills are paid, we have £36 a week to feed 3 of us and get anything lo needs. We got a couple of things (a new sofa and Sky tv) wen lo's Dad started Work...after being told the trial was a formality, we thought we were ok. It's not as if either of us go out and socialize so £29 pw was ok, we could afford it. Wtf are we going Do? We've gone from over £2,000 a month (with tax credits and lo's dad's wages) which was £1400 after rent and council tax to £709 (hb takes care of rent).

I am distraught. We both sat in front of our laptops during los naptime and applied for anything we could.....him 17, me 8. I've already had 4 rejection emails.

I just.cannot believe it's happening again...

What do you mean by hb takes care of rent? Did they not lower it when you declared your oh's wage?
With sky tv. Maybe ring them and see if they can discount you if you're having difficulties? Sorry i don't have any good advice. I hope things are better for you soon x

On the lowest package and tied into a contract.

I've had another rejection email this morning...to make matters worse, I've just come down to lo's Dad having a blazing row with his ex who has now said he's not seeing his dd till he has a job (she was getting £50 pw maintenance, quit her job coz "she didn't need the money" yet still managed rinse us for extra every week by telling her dd to tell us she needed stuff e.g last week wen his dd turned round and told us she needed New trainers)

Agggh! It's a nightmare!

His ex can't stop him seeing his child because he doesn't have a job, that's ridiculous.

Have you been to see citizens advice or the job centre to see what benefits you're entitled to? It might be worth a look.

I'm sorry you're going through this :-(

Xx

Please visit the citizens advice as soon as you can. They will help you to make sure you're claiming for everything you're entitled to, and will also help you prioritise your bills.

Good luck, I hope things work out for you.xx
