I'm a GC newbie, be kind to me ladies :flower: but was so shocked I had to loose my GC virginity...

We usually order our shopping from Tesco. We get it delivered for 2 reasons. 1) we spend way too much on crap when we walk around the shop  and 2) we live on the third floor, and with SPD I'm having trouble getting me up the stairs, let alone the shopping as well.

Annnyyyway, we had a voucher for Sainsbury's £10 off of an online order, so decided to make the most of the money off. They guy just delvered the food but warns us their new policy is to not deliver above the 1st floor. He did bring it all the way up , he said most people probably still will as it's just as quick for them to walk it up themselves.

But, do they really expect you to pay a delivery charge and then stop at the first floor? Would they really expect me in a few weeks time, 9 months pregnant, to walk down 2 flights of stairs to collect the shopping from the first floor?! And pay for the privilege?!

I'm not the only one who thinks this is a little nuts surely?

Back to Tesco we go....!

thats ridiculous, i wouldnt use them if thats the case

yeah, i agree. sounds ridiculous. I'd use the other shop.

xxx

Oh thats silly!I would complain....they shouldn't accept the order if they don't deliver to your address.
I used Asda....the poor bloke on Tuesday, even carried my shopping halfway up the road because he parked the other side of the bollards and couldnt get through..hehe.xx

How stupid! I definately wouldn't use them if this was the case. You wouldn't want to be stuck trying to lug groceries up the stairs if the driver decided he couldn't be bothered.

Thats ridiculous. I'm sure I have seen them leg it up to the top floor in the block of flats across from us....this must be a very new thing! xxx
