Scan At 7 weeks 5 days...empty sac

I had scan at 7 weeks 5 days...gestational sac measuring 10 mm seen...no yolk sac..no foetus..they told it is 5 weeks only a per the image..asked me to do a rescan after 3 weeks...


My LMP: july 9
Pos OPK: July 22 and 23(CD13 and Cd14)
Done Artificial Insemination on July 21,22,23(CD12,13 and 14)


Got very faint line on urine HPT on CD-31,CD-36
Clear line on CD-39

I have regular 28 day cycle

I have sore boobs,white discharge and frequent urination...No nausia

I can be 2-5 days late ovulation..but 3 weeks delay is unbelievable..

I have no symptoms of miscarriage...please comment

I very sincerely hope that your baby is just a slow grower and will appear soon.

I had a similar situation in January - I went for my first scan at 8+2, and there was only a sac and yolk. I knew my dates were right, but the doctor kept questioning my dates. I had no signs of miscarriage, and it was a complete shock. I had a repeat ultrasound a week later, but the day before my scan, I miscarried naturally at home. The doctor classified my miscarriage as a blighted ovum - when the egg fertilizes and implants, but no baby grows. Your body still thinks it's pregnant.

I am now in 8w 3 days..no miscarriage symptoms yet..hoping for the best..next scan is after 3 weeks..
