I think I am miscarrying my baby.

Last night I had a light pinkish tinge when I wiped. I phoned NHS 24 and they explained that a light tinge is nothing to worry about but to phone back if I started to get worse. They were very nice but explained that there was nothing they could do if someone miscarries as early as 5 weeks.

Today, I did two more hpts (both Boots own). The digital one came up negative (although, when I took the test out, I could see another line there quite distinctly) - I had drunk a cup of tea beforehand. I did the normal Boots test and the cross came up almost immediately (quicker than it has done before), but was still lighter than the test line. When I wiped, there was a light, slight, brownish discharge - like I sometimes get a day or so before AF is due.

My boobs and nipples have stopped feeling sore as well.

I get the feeling that the baby is lost - I feel devastated. I feel like there is nothing I can do to stop things happening, just wait it out, which is killing me. I don't want to lose my baby, but there is nothing I can do.

awww poppy I responded to your thread in the miscarriage and loss section, I hope everything is ok :hugs:

Oh Poppy I hope so much that everything is ok :hugs: Elle xx

I think I might of had a chemical pregnancy.

Poppy, I really hope everthing is ok. Give your GP or Midwife a call in the morning and talk to them.

You should've gone to the hospital no matter what the NHS direct people said and you would've got refered for a scan. I hope it's O.K. I had alot of bleeding and my symptoms "stopped." I think I was being paranoid though.

i agree. despite them saying that nothing can be done, at least they can tell you if there is a sack, fetal pole and so on. It is your baby, and you should make decisions not those other people. Of course they will tell you not to go to the hospital because they wanna minimize the number of patients going in...but if I were you I would certainly go and request an emergency scan.

Are you having cramping? Spotting is VERY normal, especially if it's light pink or brown. Especially around the time you are supposed to be getting a period. My symptoms came and went. Especially that early.

Keeping fingers crossed that everything goes OK for you.

Poppy!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope u r wrong!!!!! Am so sorry u are going thru this

Oh wow! I hope it's nothing bad! I've heard a lot of people spot or even bleed during pregnancy, but still had their babies healthy and everything. Hope this is also the case for you!

All my thoughts are with you right now Poppy. I agree that spotting is very normal right now, and women are all different with their symptoms. Also, it's good if you have no cramping. Call your doctor first thing tomorrow.

Thinking of you hun! I hope everything is OK! :hugs:x

:hugs: Poppy Im sorry :( I thought I was having a misscarriage about 8 weeks because I had the same bleeding, then again at 16 weeks, but I think it was because my husband and I had sex before hand. Everything has been fine since. I hope it all works out. I agree with everyone else the only way you are going to feel better is if you probaly goto the hospital and have it checked out

You're in my thoughts and prayers poppy! I hope that everything turns out just fine for you and your little bean
