I'd never heard of this "dry drowing" until today (possibly same thread we were looking at!) anyway, as far as going under the water, baby's are born with a "swimming" or "diving" reflex

Obviously, it's not something to do on purpose, but it won't harm them at all, my son is always trying to drink the water! He even tries to suck the water out of the sponge! We have to keep the sponge away from him as if he sees it, he'll grab it and put it straight to his mouth before you've got chance to take it away! Also, at swimming, when my hubby is swimming my son around the pool, he'll often take a few accidental gulps of water, as do the other babies! It's nothing to worry about x
