is it as uncomfortable/ tough on the nipples to BF your subsequent children as it is your first?
If you are still BFing one child, does the next one do it differently, so to speak and cause discomfort, and if you've weaned the first before the second arrives, is it like starting again??

I'm currently BF'ing my 2nd. There was 9 months between stopping feeding my 1st and starting feeding my 2nd. It was a LOT less painful feeding my 2nd :). With DS my nipples were so sore, cracked and black for the first couple of weeks. With DD I had some pain but nothing worth mentioning, I used my Lansinoh a couple of times in the hospital and then didn't even need to bother.
Much easier the 2nd time in my experience :)

I very much like this news =) thanks!

I bf my first for only 11 days it was excruciating at the end and she was only losing weight...think the latch was never correct. I am in my 9th week of bf my second baby now and I have had no pain whatsoever, haven't needed any nipple cream as they haven't been sore wahoo! X

I sure hope so. I'll know in a few weeks

My nipples were just as sore the second time (I stopped breastfeeding around the end of first tri). I got blood blisters which I didn't have with Thomas.

However, the pain was all gone by day 9, which was much sooner. And Sophie has a much smaller mouth, a more shallow latch and a small tongue-tie. I think those things caused the pain.

Much less painful, much easier latching, much more confident mummy. Definitely easier (and I was going to post this same question a couple of months ago myself).

For me it was definitely easier but my eldest had a severe tongue tie and my second eldest did not xx
