DS1 is really suffering with teething right now. When his second set of bottom molars started to come in he was nothing more than a little cranky but these top ones are a nightmare. On Thursday and Friday he had a high temperature, he's crying or whinging most of the day, he's not sleeping well and is exhausted, and he is barely eating. It's breaking my heart to see my little boy in lots of pain and not be able to do much to help him. He will barely let me brush his teeth but I did get a good look in his mouth today and he seems to have a few mouth ulcers in different spots on his gums and cheek which must be making everything ten times worse.
We've been giving him calpol and teething gel but I'm at a loss as to how to make it easier for him. He's still drinking plenty and I've been giving him anything he will actually eat like yoghurts and soup. Should I take him to the doctors? I can't imagine they can do much more than I'm already doing.
